Do you think that the federal government should take away Las Vegas's right to perform marriages? It was a suggestion thrown out the other day at lunch by a co-worker.

No, I believe that they should expand all marriage laws to include ANY couple that truly loves one another.

Why should the Govt. stop allowing marriages in Las Vegas? Would the ban extend out to the rest of Nevada? would it make any difference?

honestly half the marriages now and days don't even last past 3 months. and that's everywhere. So stopping las vegas really wouldn't do anything, because now ans days if somebody wants something they will do anything to complete their mission.

The people that I know and have talked to don't go to Vegas to get married, they go to gamble. Your co worker's suggestion made no sense.

I think the federal government has taken away enough of our freedoms in the last eight years.
Maybe they should concentrate on making sure our chinese food is not contaminated and protecting our borders first.

Of course not, when people want to get married they will regardless of where it is. Really is quite a conservative question in a non-conservative world.
