The Order of the Phoenix wasn't quite as good as some of the others, in my opinion--I think they did a really lousy rendition of Hagrid's half-brother, Grawp.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, now, was a good read. I like the way Rowling let us know how things turned out with a lot of the characters, but there were some I'd have liked to know more about--Luna, for instance (did she marry Neville, who is now the Herbology professor? Follow her dad's footsteps as a publisher?), and George Weasley (were they able to get some sort of prosthesis for that hole left where his ear got blasted off? Did Fred's death make him too sad and serious to continue in the gag and joke business?)--and McGonagall (not sure of the spelling--did she become headmistress after Snape died?).

And, of course, poor Severus Snape. I'd long suspected that he loved Lily, and it must've been horrible for him to see the woman he loved marry the man he hated. Then, when Harry arrived at Hogwarts, it was even worse to see James's features replicated in Harry--except for Lily's green eyes.

At least at the end Harry recognized the man's worth--he named his younger son Albus Severus, and described Snape as "Probably the bravest man I ever knew."

No, Harry was supposed to look at Snape when he died to get those thoughts to put in the Pensieve.

I thought the book ended up great but there were a few places where it seemed to lull & drag on to get to the point. I know that some of it was for background but it still seemed to take forever. I was glad that Snape ended up being one of the good guys though!

I was disappointed in the movie: Order of the Phoenix.

They cut a lot of corners. It seemed they did not put a lot of money into special effects. I thought the acting was less than in previous films.

Daniel Radcliffe announced he wasn't interested in playing Harry Potter in the final movie, and after seeing Order of the Phoenix, I am beginning to understand why. It seems someone is losing interest in the franchise.
