Hey guys, I know this girl who is on birth control pills and I was wondering if that means she is having sex with someone NOW, or if that means she has HAD sex with someone? Is it possible that she is taking them still because she HAD sex with someone?

I was a virgin the first couple of years that I took birth control pills. There are many other reasons that a girl would be on the pill besides protecting from pregnancy. Birth control helps to regulate hormones and the menstral cycle. Not getting pregnant is just a bonus. I'm not saying she's never had sex though, but taking BCPs are not an indicator of whether someone is currently having sex or has in the past. Many parents put young teen girls on the pill "just in case."

Sometimes the pill helps with regulating periods and getting rid of cysts on the ovaries, that's why I took them years before I even started having sex. So no it doesn't mean 100% she is taking it because she is having sex.

If it's not for any of those reasons it most likely means she is sexually active and trying to prevent pregnancy. Women usually get on the pill when they are in a steady relationship because they do not have to worry about STDs with different sexual partners.

It could be many reasons, 1 of them could be a medical reason. She might have long periods, birth control helps from preventing t to be too long, also it helps with acne. She probably just wants to be safe.

Could be to control her periods, there is a brabd of pills that avoids period always! wich is a blessing becuase she wont feel PMS :) Also could be that she is prepared for any occasion, condom works but 2 things work better.

It is possible that she is taking them to get her hormones balanced and regulate her period. I started taking bc pills when I was 13 because of this.

Could be either but it could also be that she never had sex and the doctor has her on them to regulate her period or help with cramps. If you really want to know, just ask her.
