I keep seeing these beetle like things...they attach themselves to anything and will bust out of their own bodies/shells. I guess that it is shedding itself. Anyways when I go into the backyard every morning I see their shells every where. If anyone has any idea that what type of beetle this is, it would help me out a bunch..

A picture would be nice, but since it is the summer season, I'll venture a guess and say cicada. They are doing a lot of "busting out" at this time of year.

Here is a link to a bunch of photos of what their "shells" look like: http://images.search.yahoo.com/search/images;_ylt=A0geu8vKT6dGJBcAZktXNyoA?ei=UTF-8&p=cicada%20shed&fr2=tab-web&fr=ks-ans

Is that what you are seeing?
