I have emailed my congressman in order to get help. How long does it usually take to get a response? Or for his office to act?

It could take about a week. You may want to call to follow up and ask for the caseworker who handles the particular issue you asked for help with. It is the caseworker who will actually help you, on the Congressman's behalf.

Good luck!

If you want to contact your congresscritter, you should use the FAX, call his office, or visit his local office.

Mail gets delayed due to security screenings.

E-mail generally gets ignored. Your Congressman is getting 100,000 e-mails a day from people who want him to vote to save the whales.
