If the meek inheret the earth, will the strong just take it right back?

I think the REAL meaning of that one about the meek inheriting the earth will prove to be much different from the traditional understanding. A time is going to come when Man will have to head out into space to find himself a new home. For whatever reason, this ball of dirt will have become increasingly less habitable, and possibly overcrowded. We will eventually develop the technology to do just that, and off they will go by the spaceship load, heading for the last frontier, and to become settlers in that new location.

Eventually the only life there will be back on this planet will be the humblest of life forms like those that came out of the original primordeal sludge.. The germs, the microbes, the viruses, and all the simplest living organisms. They had their origins going back before us, and they will be still here after us. Our destiny will have carried us elsewhere.
