First of all Congradulations on becoming a mom. Second, calm down. Being induced is not as horrible as you think. In fact it may not even lead to delivery today.

My wife was induced all 4 times, because of various reasons. Relax and enjoy the expierence. The more worked up you are the harder being induced will be on you.

Everyone is scared a little before giving birth but I'm sure knowing when it is going to happen and having time to think about it makes it all the more nervewracking. Just realize that millions of women have been through this and done great and you will too. Trust that you body will know what to do, try and do some relaxation breathing, and just think that in the next 24 hours you will be holding your baby! It is totally normal to be nervous! Good luck!

i was also induced. and it is nerve wracking to sit and think about whats coming next.
if you have a lot of people around, use them. ask your mother to tell you a story about yourself or siblings as children. ask your dad to tell you about that giant fish you caught as a child. just try to distract yourself.
my mother and i played canasta in between all the friends and family that came to visit me.
of course there will be times when distractions impossible. the doc might be able to give you an anti-nauseous medication.
i wish you the best with your new baby.
the last bit of advice is DO NOT WATCH THE CLOCK!!
have it removed if you can't help looking.
again, i wish you the best.
p.s. i forgot to add that my labor and delivery were normal and i worried for no other reason than that i was a first time mom.
congratulations.

Yes I was the same way when I went in with my 1st. But I got lucky and they did it like 6 am so I didn't have to sit around and think about it but then again I didn't sleep the night before either! Don't worry you'll be holding your baby in your arms soon! Congrats and good luck!
