I love to hold hands with my hubby when were're in public why should anyone have a problem with that. Oh and the hug and the kiss on the lips.
And sorry... it's not 'Sweet' how patronising a statement is that. Does it mean when people get older they have to stop lovng and caring for each other in public?

No not at all, as they know how to conduct themselves. It's the younger generations affection that need to be kept behind closed doors.
I was driving past a bus stop yesterday, and this young teenage couple were being very over the top. I felt like shouting " get a room ". It's embarrassing walking past them when they've got they're tongues down each others throats for 10 minutes at a time, especially when you have children with you saying "why are they doing that Sarah?" I just say "because they love each other" 1 to be polite and 2 what else can you say to 4 year olds?

I think that all public displays of affection should be kept firmly behind closed doors.

Depends on how intense that affection is. Holding hands, hugs or a peck on the cheek or lips is cool. Anything else between ANYBODY should be kept behind closed doors. And for those who dumped on older folks, just remember, you'll be the older generation one day. If you're lucky.

No i think its lovely when older people hold hands or have a little kiss in public

Holding hands, fleeting kisses and so on are lovely! Keep on doing it!!
However, no matter how old someone is, or whatever their sexual preferences, it is not pleasant seeing someone eat the face off another person!! Ew!!!

not at all! why should they?? older ppl have the same feelings as anyone else!! just asking that ? is a bit silly, not making fun of it, but yeah, they love just like the rest of us , and they are human! i think its the sweetest thing when i see it. they truly love one another.
