I knew that Snape was in love with Lily and that was part of the issue he had with James. Jealousy! I also knew that the overall biggest problem he had with Harry was that he couldn't see past his feeling for James when looking at Harry, and that he was treating Harry as if he were his father, reincarnated, trying to make him suffer for stealing Lily from him and never being able to see his own faults in the whole situation to begin with. Snape held Harry accountable for all of James’ mistakes and never let him make his own, and he had assumptions about him, even before he arrived at Hogwarts. This was a huge clue. Although I was thrown off for awhile by the stag protonus, I wasn’t surprised when I read it, in the end. I knew he had been watching over Harry all his years at school, even if he wanted no one to know he cared about him, and even if it would have only been in the longing for Harry to have been his and Lily’s child.

I had no idea!!! Cuz remember in the 5th book when harry went and saw that flashback? Snape called lily a mudblood and so i thought that he hated her! I was soooo surprised to find out that Snape really loved her. It seemed like he would never had those feelings b4. Right before he died he told harry to look into his eyes and right then u could tell that he loved lily cuz harry had the same eyes as lily and he wanted to see them before he had died

I suspected it a bit, what surprised me was that aunt petunia wanted to go to hogwarts and when she could not go she called Lily a freak.

I think that it's always been pretty obvious but I have to admit I wasn't sure about the patronus eventhough I knew it would have to be something to do with Lily.
p.s I think you should have worded you question differently for people who haven't finished it yet. Say it's a spoiler so they have the option to read it or not, it's not very fair otherwise! - just a suggestion! :)

I had suspected it for a while as well. Wasn't really surprised but it was still heartbreaking.
