If Harry and Voldermort are no longer connected to each other does that mean that Harry's ability to do magic is now lesser then it was before. I was just wondering this as through out the whole series Harry has been able to do magic at a higher level then you would expect because he has some of Voldermorts power inside of him, but now that he no longer has part of Voldermort inside of him does that mean Harry can no longer do magic

I think the general idea is that Harry is a good person surrounded by love, which is why he was more powerful than Voldemort - I think he was able to maintain his powers because of this (corny, I know).

I think that Harry came into his own power in the Seventh Book and found out that the power that he possessed was more magical and more powerful than anything Voldemort had. If you think about it the story is basically saying love conquers all. Family wins. And there's nothing the evil people can do about it.

So I think that he retained the powers that mattered, and that made him a better wizard than before.

Harry is a wizard in his own right, so I have little doubt that he can still do magic. I think his own powers have probably increased because of all he had to go through to finally defeat Voldemort, so I don't think the fact that he's lost some of Voldemort's power really matters all that much.

Good job pointing out of of those little plot holes that she didn't even touch on in that so called ending. What happens to his ability to talk to snakes? We will never know because of how she left everything hanging like she did. She didn't tie up anything I sware. But to answer your question, no, he would still be able to use magic and a lot that he could do he had to learn and work hard at it. Maybe his wand won't act by it self anymore (did she ever explain that one?), but it will still work.

Good point, I'd say yes, his powers are diminished. However, as Hagrid said, how could he be anything other than a great wizard, being the son of Lily and James. So, still top notch, top 2 %, but maybe not to Dumbledore's standard.

I don't think anything will happen to harry. While he might of had some of voldy's powers, he was a wizard in his own right, a young wizard who fought to learn as much as he could, to save those he loved. Fair enough he might o relied of hermionie a bit....but he still did it. Also his family was also revealed to be powerful wizards. He was related to the peverells, who created the Deathly Hallows.

No. Remember, his mother was a witch, too! His powers might be diminished, but chances are due to the struggle to defeat Voldermolt, he managed to brush up his abilities to that of where he would be normally with Voldermolt's powers.

At least, that's my take on it.
