I became conservative after my public school education when I started to see the Liberal bias in the education system.

I sit here trying to figure out why it is only the conservatives who are selfish. Do not the children of liberals also attend these schools that people with no kids or grown kids pay for? Do not conservatives pay property taxes just like liberals? Did not the people with grown children send those children to school? Maybe it makes you two faced. Do your children attend public school or are you one of those people with no children, or perhaps you are wealthy and send your little darlings to private school?

The public schools I went in no way resemble the lunatic asylum's that pass for schools today. My sister pulled my nephew out of the Columbus, Ohio school system after she heard about some boys in his eighth grade class were throwing their own feces at each other, DURING CLASS. Teachers have to put up with disruptive students that don't want to be there, don't want to learn. As a result, the kids that do want to learn get shafted. We are lagging behind in education to virtually every other nation out there. They kick these kids out over there. They have come to terms with the fact that some kids are born to be accountants, some lawyers, some doctors and some are better suited to wash dishes.
There is no discipline. When I was in public school, we had a principal that was an ex pro football player. You acted up, you were sent to his office and you got whacked in the *** with a board. It didn't matter if you were in second grade or 12th grade. The last thing you wanted to hear from your teacher was, "go to the office."
In seventh grade, and again in 12th grade, I was taught about "rights and responsibilities." The fact that you couldn't have one without the other. People are only taught about rights these days. They have babies they can't afford, and expect the taxpayer to pay for their upbringing. They want "free" health care.

I don't know where you on this one track selfish rant this morning.
Yep I know lots of conservatives went to public schools and now raising thier kids by home schooling. The kids are scoring higher in college entrance exams than public school kids. They are working and working with their kids.
I know churches that go to Africa. Doctors, nurses, and dentists taking care of the poor on their own dime.
Yet to see or hear about the "Free Thinkers" missions in Africa.
There are couples who gave up life here and gone to other countries to help the poor that are conservatives.
So tell me again why the selfish rants this morning?

I thank my public school system every month with part of my motgage...as property taxes
it's the lousy return on investment with today's children that I choose to use that good old liberal domain of dissent to complain about tenured self-doting teachers that were likely so limited with taking the path of least resistance in college by going for an easy education degree..
remember that the next time you want to whine about something else and use your right to dissent
after interacting with some of these people here..I can submit Yahoo answers as a source and proof of the institutional failure on the part of our education system

The funny thing about your question are the words "learned" and "conservative" in the same sentence.
And...I can only imagine you probably don't even see the irony.
I believe a more prophetic question would have been,
"How many naive liberals never learn to read or write in public schools"?

and the people with no kids benifit from those kids going to school. as they get older they will be the ones running the country and companies. it also keeps them from being a drain on society.

Why are you pointing your finger at conservatives. I have been paying property taxes for most of my adult life (29 years). I have had children for 16 of those years, and they have been in public schools for 12 of those years. I'm not asking for a rebate on what I've paid.
It's obvious that you didn't take advantage of ANY school system.

Those people, with no kids or grown kids, that helped pay for school, just like THEIR PARENTS DID so that THEY could go to school. What does that make you? A moron maybe?

My daughter attended private schools that I paid for and at same time paid taxes so that our 'dumbing down' public schools could stay in operation. As a result, she can read and write ABOVE an 8th grade level and aced college.
Two-faced? NOT!

I went to private school, and paid a hefty tuition there while supporting public school expansion in my own town. So I'm not two faced.........
But still, we all pay taxes for all this stuff..........you know all the people without kids sure they pay for school but don't forget senior centers and such.
