Yesterday, unfortunately, a NBA Referee was charged with "fixing" the scores at major NBA games so he could win some bets. Should all referees be subpoenead in this "big" case? What do you think of 'sports gambling'?

The refs should not be allowed to bet on any games in their sport.

Alright, first, he hasn't been charged with "fixing" games. He's only been charged with betting on games and sharing infomation about games he's worked. That said, did he affect the outcome of games, sure. Prosecute him? Sure. Refs are not allowed to bet on any NBA games. In my opinion, the NBA needs to keep a closer watch on the over/under lines in Vegas. They are very highly regulated and monitored and when the line jumps at the last minute, it should be a red flag. But honestly, the NBA is currently the worst major professional league in the country. David Stern is a great commissioner, but his product is suffering greatly. (Don't argue hockey, it's no longer a major professional sport. It's fan base is concentrated to specific geographical areas). Also, THE PLAYOFFS WEREN'T FIXED! Donaghy didn't want to get caught, so he wouldn't fix a highly televised event. They'd fix a regular season game that didn't matter, essentially. This situation is extremely sad for the American sporting community, because the question has been raised,"What is legitimate?".

Nobody should be betting on the sport they are involved in. Not players, refs, owners.
Another cry baby Suns fan. How do you explain losing 4 of 6 games? Let me guess they had a different ref crew for each game and they all cheated?

Why do you say he is a Spurs ref? He only reffed one Spurs game during the playoffs. Sounds to me like you heard a little information, and made up the rest of the story to suit your own twisted views. I think you have been reading to much of the uneducated crap people spew on YA.

the refs are *******......the only reason the suns didnt win the championship was because a 2 year old could make better calls than the refs at the spurs-suns games
