And it seems like its the women - and not the men who are donning aprons. Just do a web search or check out http://www.flickr.com. Ten years ago, aprons were hard to find - but now.....

It is interesting (but for me a non-event) the resurgence of aprons and diologue on aprons seem to be "a hot topic". As a wearer, and some would say collector (I have many more than I need) an apron is something I wear all the time. I prefer wearing dresses to pants, jeans etc. and an apron looks and feels right over a dresses. My grandmother and mother both sewed and wore aprons. I was always aproned as a child and have just always wore one. Also I think women are rethinking their roles and wanting to be more domestically capable.

Nice comfortable, simple garments! It's progress, really, towards simplicity and more dress sense, without any penalty on protection!

I think it's a retro throwback to that 1950s suburbia thing, you know? it's fashionable now. like flowery wallpaper and kitsch toasters

we like them, and also when we are in the kitchen cooking for you men, while we are still nice and dressed up, it protects our clothing so that way we will always like nice for you jerks even when dinner is done...
