ppt is the 3 letter file extension that identifies to your computer that the file is a powerpoint presentation
pps (PowerPoint Show) is another extension that tells your computer to open the presentation and show it as a presentation if you double-click the file's icon
ppa is yet another PowerPoint exentsion (PowerPoint Add-in). This kind of file is an add-in to extend PowerPoint's capabilities
pot is a PowerPoint template
