Hie Role. Well it is better for you to divide the time which you are seeing the television and from there for sure both of you'll guys won't be facing any problem through there and when you have done that then it is good to give and take, but if the timing of the programmed is same then it is good that you watch with her and during the advertisment then it is better for you to change it and for sure it will only be a half an hour programmed and when the Hannah Montana is finished then it is good that you changed to the wrestling programmed and for sure she just want to see that only and it is good that you don't have to go to your friends house to go and see it and instead of you doing it. So it is better for you to try to give and take whereby the things for sure it wll work out. Try this and hope it might help you ....................
ALL THE BEST.................

The way you are talking about this, you sound more like two siblings arguing than a father and daughter having a disagreement. If you want to set a good example for your daughter, try to relax and look at this issue in a more mature way. You don't like the shows you daughter enjoys. That's understandable. Your daughter isn't crazy about what you watch either, which is fine. But neither of you is showing any kind of respect for the other person's different opinion and you're the adult here. If you don't want her putting down wrestling as fake crap, you need to stop insulting shows she likes. You don't have to love Hannah Montana, just don't insult it around her.
Try working out a schedule with your daughter that is fair to both of you. Is she really "hogging" the TV constantly to watch this show or does it just happen to come on when wrestling is on. If she's watching multiple showings of Hannah Montana daily, you need to tell her that other people want to watch different things on TV and she is only allowed to watch the show at certain times. If the only airing of the show is on during wrestling, then you need to compromise. You could alternate weeks, or use a VCR or rented DVR to record wrestling while she watches her show. You could also just accept going over to your friend's house to watch wrestling, which doesn't seem so bad as you get to spend time with your friend and enjoy wrestling together. Just make sure your daughter understands that this does not mean she will always get her way with the TV; sometimes she may have to miss something she wants to watch so someone else can use the TV.
Get this sorted out in a calm and reasonable manner. If you're unable to solve a problem as minor as TV watching schedules with your daughter, you're in for a lot of stress down the road.

Okay let's see,
Her,
She likes to watch Hannah Montana because:
1) it's a disney show
2) it's comedy
3) The main character represents herself as a girl who lives in both worlds as a famed superstar and the girl-next-door; she is obviously a role-model to your daughter plus, as most disney shows do, Hannah Montanah has a moral at the end of each episode.
You,
You like to watch wrestling as much as any guy / father does (like mine)
wrestling has violent (obviously) badly acted scenes and I have to agree with your daughter when I say it is downright CR@P!
2 good things about wrestling matches:
most matches are held for charity (for me that's 'the beauty behind the beast')
Hard muscled guys often half-naked and sweating, wearing tight-stretchy material, going on top of each other beating up each other sadostically... what kind of gay man in his right mind would miss THAT?!

Good morning...lol...I had the same problem! If I hear the name 'Hannah Montana' I want to scream! This is all I heard on months on end...made me hate the girl...lol and her brother is even worse! Now I hate the Disney channel...lol
So...what I did to rectify this problem, was I went to Wal-Mart and purchased a $80.00 T.V. and I placed it in my grandaughters room and told her no more 'Hannah Montana' in my living rm! Now I can be at peace with my shows and don't have to hear that blasted song "Best of Both Worlds" anylonger....lol Have a great day!!!

hmmm...you are the boss so you watch what you want...but, you also need to set an example...and also take turns...in my opinion...wrestling is not a good show for a child to watch because you have half naked ladies "even though they are not ladies lol!" prancing around in their undies some of the time and that's not right! Anyway...Hannah is not a really great show either because she pretends to be one person half of the time and lies about who she really is to most people...and that's not right either...=(...so maybe you both should just go outside and play some kickball, lol!

If you have just one TV then it is important that you work something out. It is not right that your daughter gets to watch what she wants every night and you don't.
Maybe you could work something out - a schedule.
But, do keep in mind that you are the parent, you pay the bills and it is your TV in the first place.
Teaching children to share is a continuing process, not just something they learn to do when they share toys when they are little.
Teach negotiation and empathy, by asking her if it would be fair if she got to watch what SHE wanted each evening, then reverse it, ask her if it would be fair if YOU got to watch what you wanted each evening - compromise.
Good Luck!

lol, you must remember what its like to be a kid. And all those crappy cartoons and really fake acting shows that now we just go: 'oh jesus why on earth did I ever watch THAT!'
Well I do. Just leave her alone she's being a kid. But I must say that its your house, so give her her chance to watch her shows but that doesnt mean you should be banished to your friend's house.

arguably, you should be letting your daughter watch shows on the disney channel rather than those that involve er, strangling, et al. but that's just me.
and isn't chris benoit dead?
