A massively empowered Iran with control over the oil fields in the south of Iraq is one of the BEST case scenarios.

A massive Sunni/Shi'ite civil war ACROSS THE REGION, oil prices throught the roof and terrorists being bred by the thousand is also very possible

I guess George and his cronies should have given some thought to this exact Saddam and family power vacuum before starting this FIASCO. It starts with the culture. When will these rt. wingers figure that one out. Meanwhile, people are dying for NOTHING.Dying for "what ifs" is just plain stupid.

Cut and Run..also known as the "Hey our plan right now has been a 99% failure so maybe we should try something else in order to save the lives of the troops now dying on a daly basis". What a horrible thing to suggest huh? I mean the troops SHOULD die right? That's their job to die acting as a police force for ANOTHER F'N COUNTRY.

I will tell you what the best thing to do is. 1) Get out of dodge..we are breeding terrorists by sitting in THEIR country telling them what to do..we are actually doing the recruiting for terrorists for them by invading and then sitting there for the rest of eternity. 2) take all this money and come up with a new energy technology that makes oil obsolete..hence no more money going to these countries to buy all these weapons and support large armies 3) Let them fight and kick the crap out of each other. We won't care about oil so if they wanna kill each other then fine be my guest.

I want to be very clear about this. I care about MY troops there...I do NOT care about the people in those countries. I don't think MY troops should die to be Iraq's police force. I don't think we can do any good invading and occupying nations "for their own good" which just motivates the populace to work against us.
Also the only reason we might have a problem with the Iran army is because we are already occupying 2 other countries and have large numbers of troops in the pacific and europe.

Yes, you put a bouy on the anchor cable so it can be retrieved and get under weigh with out having to weigh and cat the anchor. If one needs to leave an anchorage in a hurry, that is how you do it... the consequences are one can clear for action and engage another vessel with out delay...weather and tides permitting --- on the topic of Middle Eastern Oil, are there ANY good options? So you will have Americans staying to die for oil?
I think the civil war is going to happen anyway.
Iraq is already breeding terrorists. Oil prices are headed that direction no matter what. Be prepared for interesting times.

I don't know why the " cutting and running" mentality surprises anyone. The Babyboomer generation forced us to do this in Vietnam and now hey are older and have the policy making power. I guess they were told when they were young that if a job gets tough , you quit. What's worse is that these same cowards are raising a new generation of this Hippy mentality.
It took us 15 years to regain any world respect after we cut and ran from Vietnam. After we went through kidnappings and bombings. If we leave Iraq, it will empower the terrorists and the fight will be at our front door.

Why the hell should others understand the consequences of "cutting and running" when the evil President of the world's only super power obviously spent NO TIME understanding the consequences of his ILLEGAL war based on a pack of filthy lies that has so far slaughtered over 400,000 INNOCENT Iraqis !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You and others need to read the historical record regarding the US's atrocities in the Middle East over the past century.

It is a history of atrocities driven essentially by OIL OIL OIL and PROFITS PROFITS PROFITS.

THe US has DESTROYED a democracy (Iran 1953) and totally supported a long list of vile murderous right wing dictators from the Shah of Iran for 26 years to Saddam himself from 1978-1990 to Saudi Arabia to Egypt etc.

The US's profound atrocity has been against the peoples of the Middle East.Everything the US has done from the post WWW1 carving up of the region and jerrymandering of borders into ludicrous new nations such as Iraq and Jordan .to the US's horrid support of dictators that have slaughtered their own citizens ,the US has JUSTLY earned the profound HATRED of the peoples of the Middle East.

Given all these verifiable historical facts and many more ,it is a testimony to Americans ignorance of their own atrocities in the world that they do not realize that it was primarily their atrocities in the region that forced the creation of al qaida and Bin Laden simply because with the US militarily and economically fully supporting all these dictators, the peoples never were able to have a political outlet for their normal wants/complaints/opinions etc and were forced (like in Iran in1979) into the arms of the Islamic fundamentalists.

If any of you hypocrites have problems with all this just review the long list of US atrocities and ask yourself the question ,"If a country did all this to America what would we do and feel?"

You would HATE that country and you would than carpet bomb them into extinction.

THAT IS EXACTLY WHAT 9/11 was all about period.

There are CONSEQUENCES to behaviors ,YOUR BEHAVIORS.

Here is a little list of US atrocities and as you read them just think what you would feel and do if they were against you.

Now to the question asked.

GET THE HELL OUT OF THE Middle East.Do your business there but stay the hell out of their politics, society, culture etc . for if any of these countries tried to involve themselves in your internal politics and business as YOU do in their's ,you would
simply again carpet bomb them

Stinking monumental hypocrites.

You'd have thought that the left would have learned a lesson when they forced the US to cut & run in Vietnam. Over 4 million people were murdered in Vietnam, laos and cambodia, and the Vietnamese were a highly cultured society compared to the Islamofascists. I would expect that the first to be slaughtered would be the Kurds, followed closely by anyone who is currently serving the Iraqi Government. Then the libs will stand back, cluck their tongues and blame it on someone else.

I have not seen any real plans to just completely pull out all of our troops. Most realize we are in to deep at this point. What does make sense is a gradual pull out and redeployment. Five years is enough time for the Iraqis to take responsibility and a time table for withdrawal will give them the incentive they need. Bush is unwilling to so this yet because they haven't gotten their oil deals signed yet, and they probably won't anytime soon.

we handed out Lot's of Beanie Babie toys a like 2 years back to all the Kids. They lined up and squealed with delite! The insurgents issed a statement saying that when we leave any child caught with the "toys of the west will be hung in front of the parents" piles of beanie babies and toy were found in the streets... the murders will be in the millions.

If the Army Leaves I will be staying.

And do you understand the consequences of staying and bleeding ourselves dry?
Iraq is Pandora's box. Bush opened it and all the evils in it can't be put back.

Gosh it would be just terrible if you couldn't afford the gas to haul your fat stupid a$$ to Burger King in an F350 Duallie on a regular basis. Isn't that what the American revolution was all about?
