That is exactly what happened to me. It was even worse as the guy was younger than I. I guess I am lucky he didn't say I was like a big sister to him.
Ouch is right.

A Good Question.
It is not rejection but an honest clarification.
In the cases given, it seems it is one-way love. Love has many facets. No need it should End in Relationship. Friendship (not bringing in sister / brother relationship as an excuse) is bettter.
It depends.
This is my 2 cents!

Yes, but it's better to hear that early on. Imagine marrying someone and they say that to you five years in. OUCH.

guys listen a true story... i was not totally interested in her but u know she was pretty..i have heard several times from my frieds that she was expecting me to speak with her..i dont have a fear of rejection...i directly talk to them..anyway a morning i sat next to her in the bus and said good morning..and she also replied good morning..and i just attended to say sth but she asked "have we met before?"..i started to laugh out loud...she was kinda excited i guess thats why she acted like that..because when she understood what she has just said ,she turned to red...poor girl...
