I found my neighbor's dog. The owner will not be back for a while. I know it will get hungry and I cannot leave my house because my car is being borrowed. What can I feed it?

Does your local grocery store do deliveries? You could get some dog food delivered. If that doesn't work, try eggs, or some sort of meat. You could make it some meaty soup with potatoes.

It also depends on what kind of dog it is. My big goofy dogs will eat almost anything, so it would be easy for someone to feed them. But I've known some small dogs that are very fussy about what they want to eat.

Just experiment. Offer the dog something and see if it likes it. Go easy on the dairy unless you want to clean up runny dog poo, and no chocolate, it's very bad for dogs.

Good morning, I should think the poor thing is very hungry. You can call the SPCA for help or a local rescue which you can find online. One thing or you can feed it human food I am not sure if you are wanting a recipe? An easy thing to feed is hamb and rice or chicken and rice. You can mix in some veggies if you like. Does the poor dog have water? How big is the dog and would you know the breed of it?

My dog just loves pancakes, also dogs like apples (just chop them up a bit).cereal with a little milk. Is this just for the day? If it is for like a week or so I would try to find someone who will go to the store for you. A change of food sometimes gives the dog diarrhea. It doesn't seem to bother my dog but a friend has one that she can not give "people food" to. If it is just for the day make it some pancakes or break up some bread and put milk on it.

Isn't there someone that the neighbor left in charge of caring for the dog while they are gone? You need to contact that person or contact the absent neighbor. Don't feed the dog human food. Does it have any allergies? The dog needs to eat it's normal diet.
