I ask my fried for a loan 15 000. He (my friend) came early next morning, but since I was not at home, he gave the money to my neighbour. The neighbour gave me 10 000 only and said that's all he got. I know my neighbour is not telling the true, but i dont wanna involve any authorities. But what's your opinion? How much shall I pay back 10 or 15 000?

When you pay it back, take 10,000 to the neighbor and give it to them. Then call your friend and tell him your neighbor has his money.

Your friend was an idiot for giving 15 grand to your neighbor. You need to ask your friend how much he gave your neighbor. If he gave 15 to your neighbor you need to involve the authorities right away. And next time, dont do anything in cash.

I think you would seriously loose your friend if he looses out on 5 grand. Also why would he give that much money to a neighbor anyways

You need to go ask your friend how much he gave the neighbor first off.
Its up to your friend if he wants to press charges on your neighbors(if they took 5,000). If they took 5,000 then you just need to pay back 10,000.

well umm find out what happend to the other 5000, would be my first worry... thats alot of cash to just pass off. if he owns up and gives you other money back then pay all of it, but since it was for you but it was your dumb friend who gave it to the dude so he at least owes him a explanation

"Normal" people don't just hand 15K to a neighbor because their friend isn't home. Something sounds very fishy here. The fact that you have been ripped off for 5K and don't want to call the police raises eyebrows, too.

You owe 10,000, because that is all you got. The other 5,000 is a matter between your fried (LOL) and your neighbour.
