I don't pay anymore for food now then I did last year. Nowadays, EVERYTHING is linked to cancer. Unless i put myself in a bubble, I'll never be free of the risk of cancer. I just try to stay as healthy as possible and live each day to the fullest. I have many family members that have lived well into their 80's and 90's with the same food I eat today...

By paying more, do you mean purchasing organic foods?

I rarely purchase the organic brands, cost is a factor. But then again, during the late spring through fall, I rarely buy any kind of produce from the store.

My wife and I raise large vegetable and fruit gardens. We freeze, can and give away our excess. Our neighbors love the eggplant, peaches, cucumbers, tomatoes, squash, cantalopes and watermelons.

Our garden isn't as large as you'd think, it's about 1/3 of an acre. Instead of planting oak or maple trees in our yard, we chose to plant cherry, peach, pear and apple trees.

Every fall, we give away corn stalks and pumpkins. The neighborhood dresses up with the stuff we give away. Plus the pumpkins make real nice pies. ;o)

We all eat food. Everything causes cancer, according to the FDA, and we can't stop inflation, and the rising cost of living. So what was your question actually?
