If she felt ready to make that step, why would you be disappointed? You can get really close to someone in a short period of time, and you don't necessarily have to live with them after. Sometimes people connect right away, and sometimes they never do. If your friend really wanted to do this and wasn't pressured by anyone, then she has every right. Don't be disappointed. Talk to her, and she 'll help you understand how she feels.

That is why you should wait until he puts a ring on your finger before giving him what 'he' wants out of a relationship.....
Many young women are going for the whole abstenence thing now, it causes less stress with boyfriends, keeps them pure, and follows the Bible.
I hope my views are taken without any criticism or condemnation, I'm just offering a path, although it isn't an easy one to follow :-(
I am proud of my teen Bible study young women who choose to follow this path. We have so much fun and discuss other things than relationships and how the Bible meets those needs, also.......

back when i was in high school, 6+ months was considered the normal time frame. if the two has been dating for over a year, its assumed theyve done it. i dunno. i know people have have sex on their first or second date. it just depends on the type of people they are.
if i were you, id be disappointed in her too. but that happens with high school graduates during summer. get caught up in the moment, thinking they are "adults" now since they graduated from high school. bleh. they were probably just horny (or the guy convinced her somehow of giving it up, or your friend is easy)

I think people should date for at least 6 months before deciding to have sex. If a stable relationship & a happy marriage is what you're both looking for.

Well, there is no such thing as too early or too long. It's all a matter of personal choice, and yes, college does often split up couples - you are right with that.

The best time to have sex with someone is when the minister says I now pronounce you husband and wife.

Males are like dogs. You need to lure them with food to follow you, to be with you.
So long you do not part your legs, he will be with you.
Once you part, he will look for another girl to woo.
Delay it as long as you can.
Life is long, and there are years ahead to enjoy sex.
To have it properly, you also need to allow your organs to develop, otherwise it will cause pain only. Carry on.

Wait as long as you can. Just because everyone is doing it doesn't make it right. Follow your own heart for you should not make this decision lightly.
As it goes "why buy the cow, when you get the milk for free?"
