Matt. 12:31, 32, RS: “Every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven men, but the blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven. And whoever says a word against the Son of man will be forgiven; but whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven, either in this age or in the age to come.” (If the Holy Spirit were a person and were God, this text would flatly contradict the Trinity doctrine, because it would mean that in some way the Holy Spirit was greater than the Son. Instead, what Jesus said shows that the Father, to whom the “Spirit” belonged, is greater than Jesus, the Son of man.)
John 14:28, RS: “[Jesus said:] If you loved me, you would have rejoiced, because I go to the Father; for the Father is greater than I.”

You need to carefully read the Bible! the circumstances under which the unpardonable sin was committed was unique to the days of Jesus and the apostles and can't be committed in this day and age. Those who accused Jesus of working miracles by the power of Satan also knew he was the Son of God and that the power by which He worked the miracles was by the power of the Holy Spirit. These people were more concerned about their reputation than acknowledging Jesus for who he was. here the stage was set because there was a two fold heavenly witness present and therefore could not be denied.

Jesus tells us in The Apocryphon off John that The Holy Spirit was the first creation of God. The Holy spirit and God co-created Jesus. Understand?

to keep it short: To Blasphemy the Holy Spirit is to deny Gods Power. The Holy Spirit is the Power of God. There for denying all that He has created. Denying Gods power of creation >denying everything including yourself right out of existence> Jesus is the Living Word of God, but His Holy Spirit is what makes him God...Thank God for Jesus

I am not quite sure what you mean. However, Jesus is the same as father and the Holy Spirit. Jesus left His Holy Spirit here to guide us. If you do not accept Holy Spirit, God's Word does not make any sense to you. That is why we are not allowed to blaspheme Holy Spirit because that is a mortal sin. : )

Because God and Jesus you cannot see. But can know by faith. And many will debate and mock and reject God and Jesus. As they are not here in the physical to know or taste of them in their fulness. But the Holy Spirit IS. The Holy Spirit is the evidence of God among us, and is within some of us.

The 3 are 1, yet the Holy Spirit is the aspect of God by which we "know" God/Jesus.

It's one thing to believe in God/HJesus, but not see Him, but another to actually know His "presence", to "taste" of Him so to speak, be filled with Him and born-again,.

And if you know His presence by the Spirit, and yet still blaspheme Him, you truly have issures!!

Have you ever been born-again? Or filled with or caught up in the Holy Spirit? Such as in worship? Me, I cry tears of joy when I intimately worship God in the Spirit. So for me to have tasted that awesomeness of His divine presence, and then blaspheme Him, I would have to really hate God!

To "know' Him yet still blaspheme Him. ARG!!

Plus, the Holy Spirit is grace. God did not have to send the comforter, guide, counselor. But He did. And for us to spit on Him, spit on His grace, we then really have issues. Must really hate God to do such a thing.

Many people reject, hate, and blaspheme God's word, the gospel of Christ, etc. But to actually know His presence and STILL blaspheme Him?? Yikes!!

Mercy is what God did not give us that we did deserve.
Grace is what God gave us that we could never deserve.

And the Holy Spirit is like an added bonus.
Through/via the Holy Spirit we have fellowship with God, a personal relationship.
Even more than what Adam and Eve had.

So to blaspheme that, we truly must be crazy.

Hope I helped you some.

God is love.
Love is a choice.
Choose well.
God bless.

Hello, Barnabas:

The Bible says that man is to rule over his wife, yet the two are one flesh. Any committee has a leader, and God is a ruler of order.

Because the Holy Spirit has been entrusted to convict of sin, righteousness, and judgment, you can never come to repentance. That is why one is lost--The Spirit bears witness of ME, says Jesus.

Arianism is not new to religion, and the mystery of God is imperfectly understood, but we do know that Jesus is our Messiah. God gives extra proof to reinforce your faith at http://abiblecode.tripod.com
