Is there nothing on right now or your recording system (Media Center...Tivo) messed up?

There's nothing on right now. In fact, there's RARELY EVER anything on! 99% of the stuff on TV is mindless, inane braincandy. And I hate the fact that every 10 minutes I'm subjected to obnoxious marketing ploys that blatantly promote materialistic consumerism, non-existant needs, and an insecure sense of conformity! TV sucks; Why do you think they call it "programming"?
On the rare occasion that I actually turn on the TV, it's to watch baseball or something educational (Discovery, History Channel, etc)...or maybe, just maybe some Adult Swim.

The only time I sit down & watch T.V. is at 8pm or 9pm, maybe for an hour or two.I have to small children 3 & 1 and if I'm not doing chores we are playing outside or inside. I think sitting in front of the tube is boring.

We have one tv, my husband watches "live" tv, I DVR the shows that I'm interested in and I watch them when he's not home, and I really only tape a few Jeopardy, Grey's Anatomy, Brothers and Sisters, Army Wives, Dancing with the Stars....that's all folks!

I enjoy the interactivity of the PC. I can choose what I want to do. With television we must simply accept what we see and watch it with no ability to to customize our experience outside of changing the channel.
