You do not know what you are talking. It will only appear about your ignorance of the bible and lack of understandiong. It does not mean that if Jesus paid for our sins, it is about money. Use your intellect

LikeARolingStone is right, Christ paid the debt for our original Sin, owed to God. This debt is only payed for all, payment is non-negotiable for those who do not repent.

The secular world demands punishment. sometimes in the form of monitory awards.

The Spiritual world, and the secular world are two separate things, God instituted secular government and gave them the mandate to rule on earth. Part of this God given mandate is to make Laws, and punish the wrong doer. If someone murders, then sincerely repents God forgives them; yet they must still be punished by the Judicial system.

Render unto Cesar that which is Cesar's, and unto God that Which is God's.

This is probably not the answer you wanted, but the only time we will have a Church, Pure and Without Sin Will be the Church ruled by Jesus Christ, when we are in Heaven. Then the Church will be free of the influence of mankind.

We must remember that the Visible Church here on Earth is full of sinners, for if there were no sinners, we would not need the Church.

We Pray daily for the Pure invisible Church when we say the Lords Prayer "Thy kingdom come;".

I hope it comes soon.

Do you not have insurance? Do you drive a car... bet you have insurance. Does that mean you are going to go out and wreck you car or run someone over? No, it just means that in case something happens, you have the funds to cover it.
In our modern litigation-minded country, EVERYONE needs to have insurance to cover their fannies. Churches have to do background checks on anyone who holds an office in the church or works with children under the age of 18. Girl Scout and Boy Scout volunteers have to have background checks and their organizations have to have insurance in case of liability. As a teacher, I even have malpractice insurance! It's gotten ridiculous! So... since so many people are quick to head straight for the courts with both justified and unjustified claims, we all have to be insured.
Who would have thought that someone would try to sue McDonalds for making them fat?!? This is the world we live in, sad to say.

Because in the real, modern secular world insurance companies pay out their lawsuits with money not a promise of salvation bsed on unsubstantiated myths.

Are clerics in your religion insured against lawsuits for sexual misconduct and pedophiles in their ranks?

I wonder if it's possible to calculate the amount paid by insurance on secular matters. I bet the numbers are astronomical. I'm quite sure there is so much insurance fraud that the numbers are incalcuable.

This appears to be another atheist cheap shot at Jesus Christ, and it failed.

Jesus died to pay for the debt (or consequences) of sin. SIN forgiveness. Did you expect Jesus to come down and open up His check book? Jesus paid for our forgiveness of sin and sins consequences. The monetary aspects are left to man. Jesus payment is spiritual and everlasting. Insurance company payment is humanistic and temporal.

How come a god pays for our sin and to who was he paying to. Why did he had to pay for our sin. Isn't that a easy ticket out. Now humans are committing worse sins then before. Who's gona pay now. ^_^

There's no connection whatsoever between Jesus dying for your sins and a handful of priests wanting to molest children or how much they get sued.
