This guy is my best friend. That's what we are, officially. We used to go out, we actually started off dating, but then we went to college and decided that the relationship wasn't going anywhere, because we hadn't spent a whole lot of time together (end of senior year, he lives on the other side of LA (which is huge with traffic, takes more than two hours to get from his house to mine with traffic). So we're best friends, talk at least once a week on the phone (he often calls me), exchange the occasional "I love you."
We get home for the summer, and I hang out with him a lot because he's in my group of friends. But whenever we hang out, he's always sitting next to me, has his arm around me, pays me more attention than anyone else in the room, plays with my hair, et cetera. I like the attention, but I'm not sure what he means by it. Anyone have any ideas?

to me it sounds as though this lad just feels close to you.you have a past together which brought you 2 closer together.if you are unsure of how he feels just sit and talk with him and explain you dont want to ruin a friendship.i have a few male friends and we always hug sometimes have a peck on the cheek or whatever.it honestly sounds like you have found a very good friend that cares about you.

Its simple really..........HE WANTS TO FERK YOU... Are you stupid or what? Its obvious he likes you a lot, and its also obvious that you are leading him on....I bet your happy for him to pay for stuff when your hangin out, when it suits you. But when he wants to take it a little further, you dont wanna play..... Your so transperant. One of those girls who uses people and acts like she doesnt realise it.....
