When you see people choosing the answer of their friends as the best(they mention it in the comment) while there were other answers much better than that one.

I answered a question where mine was seemingly the best (I got the most thumbs up) and I was hoping that it would be chosen as the best answer. But I saw the questioner choose some other answer which was more like a note to her and did not had much relationship with the question.

:-(

Bollywood Turtle, yes you got it right. It was the reporting contacts question. My answer appeared in the 7th position and there were 10 answers in total. So, if you are trying to say I got the most thumbs up because my question was closer to the top then you are wrong. 6 of the answers said almost the same thing in there but mine was the most sincere answer.

I am not mad at the questioner but if I say that she choose that answer as the best because they are friends or will I be wrong, I dont think so.

I thought it was a serious question and I tried to answer it seriously. When I ask serious question I choose the best answer which seems to be the most sicere answer to me. If i think your question is the most sicere answer then I would have no problem choosing it as the best. So, there is still hope for you.
:-)

If it's the question about reporting contacts, I don't see how your answer was any better than the one that was chosen. Sometimes people get more thumbs up because they are closer to the top and more people see their answer. The answer with the most thumbs up is not always the "best" one.

I think my answer is the best one to your question, but you probably won't pick it. I don't mind, though, because it's YOUR question and what matters is what YOU think is best.

Edit: I'm not saying the only reason an answer would have more thumbs up is because of it's position. I'm only trying to make the point that the answer with the most thumbs up isn't always the "best" one. Position in line could be one of many reasons. =)

Either way, there is no reason to be angry. We don't get awarded with a car or dream vacation when we reach a certain level. In fact, I usually get suspended when I get to 5000 points. Now, THAT makes me mad! lol

I've stopped letting things get me angry a long time ago.
Especially the things which are beyond my control.

In this world people look up to their friends and respect and trust their advice without questioning the accuracy of the source. It's a fact: you do it; I do it ..we're all guilty of that at one point in our lives or another.

Some times it's not truly about the best answer-but about the points. And, sadly to say, some people scam the system by
creating a way to ask questions and awarding the 10 points
to their friends in order to steamroll their way to the next level.
And in return their friends do the same thing for them.

You can't allow yourself to get all worked up over that because people who obtain things by cheating are actually
losers who can't win anything on a level playing field. They need an edge.

Let them have their petty victories, for now. They won't be
long-lived...they'll lose out where it counts the most.

well i believe in being honest when answering questions along with knowledge on the subject but i have found especially at night the young kids go around and report you and have you answer deleted or gang up with their friends to give you thumbs down, i got 48 thumbs down the other day for a pretty good answer even though it was straight to the point and blunt.

Some people would not know good advice if it bit them on the butt. It's frustrating to put time into an intelligent answer and see the best answer awarded to something stupid.

It might seem annoying but what does it matter? Best answers are nice, but they are not the be all end all. Just enjoy YA and get over it.
