Maxx,

I don't know what this has to do with the question. ...also, how selling the propaganda here, me or you? I just asked a question. Labeling me a Marxist seems like propaganda to me. And I'm willing to bet the most you actually know about Marxism is what you can find on wikipedia. You use the word as a tool for YOUR propananda.

The mission was that of the USS Lincoln in its support in toppling the military and government of Saddam Hussein. That mission was accomplished.

The mission accomplished at the moment in time was the complete victory of US forces against the military of Saddam Hussein.

History has shown that that mission was in fact complete.

What followed can be categorized as a different war (or set of wars) completely.
1)Against the Fedayeen guerillas (and later terrorists) which were little more than criminals, armed and released by Saddam Hussein in his last days in power.
2)Against Sectarian Violence, and their AQ and Iranian sponosors.
3)Against Al-Qaeda itself.

Al-Qaeda and Iran have both supplied and instigated both sides with AQ supplying foreign suicide bombers and Iran supplying the most advanced IED's.

They did this in an attempt to start a civil war. They used old hatreds and create new ones. Fortunately, Iraqis are beginning to turn on those foreigners as they tire of their mosques and markets being blown up by their "freedom fighter" allies.

You must have missed the obvious. When he appeared on the USS Abe Lincoln the mission accomplished banner meant that the USS Abe Lincoln had accomplished its mission and was going home.

Like so many Marxists before you have listened to your own propaganda so often you actually believe it.

Mission was accomplished alright.
But a new one creeped out from the graveyards witout being aware of it

With "we only just begun"
In playing Tic, Tac, Toe.
That got everyone at loss and blurr with what went wrong out there without being aware of the mess that 's going on .
With Gulliver being tied to the ground by the Liliputians with the big and small end in making a mess out there.

May 1, 2003.

End of major combat operations in Iraq.

In other words, the end of the actual war, and the beginning of the road to democracy in Iraq that we are still on.

Why do people like Eric come on here to answer questions with such ignorant responses?
