So when you drink, you can find your car easily. If you had to wander the streets to find where you left your car while drunk, you could end up getting mugged. Safety reasons.

You'll find car parks everywhere. There is no point why they should not be a car for a person who drinks. Anyway, car parks are for cars, not the drivers, right?

Cos it's only illegal if you're over the limit. It's totally legal to have a pint and drive home -- or even several pints over several hours of time just as long as you do not exceed the legal limit.
And if you ARE over the limit, it's a relatively safe place to leave your motor whilst you either walk home or take a taxi.
