Same old rubbish....so terrorism only started after the west invaded Iraq and Afghanistan did it? When did 9/11 happen then? Oh yes, before the invasion....get real and stop being an apologist...Islam is a cruel faith, its adherents are on a holy war to destroy the west, so we are fighting for our freedoms as well. Many western cultures have accepted Muslims, the UK in particular and how are we repayed...by revenge killings. You and your like should be ashamed.

It is all manner of perspective. I don't know that I would call Palestinians freedom fighters myself. But I will tell you what I think makes a terrorist. A terrorist is some who represents no country does not carry their weapons openly; thus I am clearing every nazi soldier of the second world war and places an attack on unarmed civilian targets. Civilians know when they see an army coming but a terrorist you can not see coming. I believe a freedom fighter is someone protects the lives of the innocent while fighting a FAIR war. That is soldier against soldier. The Nazi soldiers could be considered freedom fighters or could not be base on this logic. But remember they are soldiers they did not hide their weapons when they marching into Poland and Russia. They were fighting for their country. And wanted to protect the German society. I don't see them as terrorists at all but I don't know if they are freedom fighters. You want to talk a freedom fighter that is you Colonist in the American Revolutionary war. They were fighting to defend the people of the American colonies, they were fighting to gain their freedom, they were fighting soldier to soldier, and they were fighting a fair fight. That is your freedom fighter, not someone who goes blows themselves up to kill Israeli women and children. The freedom fighter I believe does not hide their weapon to kill unarmed people and terrorist does.

I'm from 'da West' (sic) and I don't label Muslims as terrorists.

Don't have a go pal - if your beef is with the Media Machine in the West, then have a go at them but don't 'tarnish' the rest of us with the same brush.

Besides, this is the UK section of Yahoo Answers, don't mention Bush here...

And to be taken seriously, you may choose to delete your question and rephrase it in a more coherent and literally correct way.

Besides you are talking about something that has it's roots further back in history than you will have experienced.

This has been a religious and political hot potato for thousands of years

If Islam stands for peace then why are Islamic insurgents in Iraq and Afghanistan blowing up their own people?. Its crazy and no matter how many people they blow up it wont make any difference to the final outcome.

The Americans considered the IRA Freedom Fighters. There's plenty of hipocracy in the West.

hi, first of all i'd like to say that although i live in the "west" i dont condone my governments actions in iraq or afghanistan and a hell of a lot of people in the west dont either. Also i dont condone suicide bombers either. i think any deliberate attempt to cause loss of life is unforgivable,as you say it ruins families lives, no matter who does it. Unfortuantely it seems to be an eye for an eye these days. I would say though that a lot of families who lost people in bombings by the IRA in the 80's never decidided to retaliate in this way. I hope that all this wreckless and needless loss of lives will end. although i have no idea how or when. I also oppose Bush and our government in the war on terror.

If he spells "otherwise" with a "d," then how could he be wrong? : )

But seriously, this is a classic case of projection. The Islamic terror groups send out death squads in Iraq to kill citizens that aren't on their side, and then terror sympathizers like "JAIal" here try to say that it's actually the US/etc that murder civilians on purpose. Hello? IEDs, anyone? Spanish train bombings? 9/11? Let me know if any of these ring a bell.

freedom fighters DO NOT blow away the people in the marketplace intentionally, and do NOT behead the humanitarian workers in the theater of operations. Islam is a religion of peace among muslims, but of war against the nonbelievers. screw that, I am an atheist.

btw the best way for not getting blown away with your family is to abandon the habit of firing kalashnikov rounds during celebrations. it attracts fire...
