LEE: On 9-11
The people behind the plane crashes of the Twin Towers were assuredly evil, the people who caused the killing, the pain, the destruction, the ones who actually did it, are evil. But that does not make all of their people, their country, or even religion evil.
IT IS now 2002 and it is hard to believe that time has flown by so quickly. Sometimes, when one doesn't think about what happened, 9-11 can seem like a distant nightmare -- too unreal to be true, too horrifying to be reality.
But that doesn't change the fact that thousands of people died and that the repercussions of that act still reverberate to this day. I do not condone what happened. Nor do I particularly approve of the actions that were taken after 9-11. But that is not the point of today's column.
9-11 happened because of ignorance, fear, prejudice and a great deal of racism. The backlash of 9-11 was more ignorance, more fear, more prejudice and an even greater deal of racism for everyone involved. Many people believe that Americans are evil, and just as many now believe that Muslims are evil as well.
Nothing is further from the truth. Evil is not a quality that belongs exclusively to one group of people or another. Nor is evil something which can be seen from skin color, religion or race.
One is evil if he rapes his own granddaughter to sake his own lust. One is evil if he massacres an entire people simply because they are "imperfect." One is evil if he chops off the head of a priest and dines on his brain for nourishment. One is evil if he plans and destroys the World Trade Center because of a misguided notion that he is doing God's work.
But therein is the point. The one who did it is the evil one. The one who raped, the one who massacred, the one who beheaded a priest and the one who destroyed the towers. They are the ones that are evil. Not the people, not the race, not even the religion. You cannot just brand a whole group or country as being evil.
Once you condemn a group for the actions of one, you may as well condemn everyone in the whole world. You may as well condemn Germany for Hitler, all Afghans for Al-Quedda or the Taliban, Catholics and Muslims of the world for the actions of fanatics. You may as well condemn Iraqis for Saddam Hussein, North Koreans for Kim Il Sung, the Filipinos for the Abu Sayaff, the Chinese people for Mao's brand of authoritarianism. The list goes on.
The people behind the plane crashes of the Twin Towers were assuredly evil, the people who caused the killing, the pain, the destruction, the ones who actually did it, are evil. But that does not make all of their people, their country, or even religion evil.
In the same way that we cannot claim all Catholics are without sin or say all Filipinos are poor or call all Chinese smart or even all Americans white. The world isn't that simple, it isn't black and white, but rather a fuzzy, unclear gray.
So what am I trying to say in today's column? What is my ultimate point?
A little tolerance, perhaps, is my point. A little acceptance would be nice also. Throw in some open-mindedness too. And most of all, a little forgiveness as well. That's my small wish for the year. And with the anniversary of September 11th an all too vivid reminder of the consequences, I hope it is a wish that will come true one day.

God did not cause 9/11. God's judgment is given to Jesus Christ who at the appointed day after His second coming will judge all at the great white throne judgment. In the meantime God does not judge anyone. 9/11 is caused fallen and deceived men and was not an act of God's judgment on USA. In the end God will destroy the fallen earth and people who do not acknowledge Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord will perish. But there will be a new heaven and earth after that inhabited by God's redeemed creation which He considers very good..

The most common Jewish view is that its part of G-ds master plan and it happened for a reason yes we belive that man has free will so god knew what was going to happen but Osama chose to do it G-d could have changed it but didnt at the end of times supposedly there will be a big war between good and evil and good will prevail and the good dead Jews and non Jews will come back to life

Luke 13
1 Now there were some present at that time who told Jesus about the Galileans whose blood Pilate had mixed with their sacrifices. 2 Jesus answered, "Do you think that these Galileans were worse sinners than all the other Galileans because they suffered this way? 3 I tell you, no! But unless you repent, you too will all perish. 4 Or those eighteen who died when the tower in Siloam fell on them—do you think they were more guilty than all the others living in Jerusalem? 5 I tell you, no! But unless you repent, you too will all perish."

9/11 happened because of Jihad(Holy War). If Mankind doesn't do something about religion, it can end life on this planet. Like 9/11, Bin Laden claims that his next attack will be done for God, who never showed up for the first one.

I want to say in advance that I don't necessarily believe what I say. With that in mind, please read the following answer. (I personally think Bush an' em are responsible.)
God doesn't "allow" things to happen, he makes them happen. The OT is clear on that. The "allow" stuff is how modern Christians like to rationalize God's "bad" side.
Ever read Rev. 18? You need to read the whole passage but here is part of it.
9"When the kings of the earth who committed adultery with her and shared her luxury see the smoke of her burning, they will weep and mourn over her. 10Terrified at her torment, they will stand far off and cry:
" 'Woe! Woe, O great city,
O Babylon, city of power!
In one hour your doom has come!'
Sounds like it could be 9/11 to me.

Short and to the point:
God did not cause 9-11. Allowing it to happen and causing it are two very different things.

the world is going to end soon... 9/11 was just another one of God's prophesies that became true. its a definite sign that he is coming soon.
Isaiah 30:25
"In the day of great slaughter, when the towers fall, streams of water will flow on every high mountain and every lofty hill."
