if you go to a drugstore such as CVS, Walgreens, Rite Aid, or even many grocery stores they sell a pre-paid credit card. You take the money that you want the card to be worth and buy the card (usually no more than 5 dollars) then the funds you deposited on the card are availiable for use. Say you wanted a card worth 250 dollars, you take about 255 dollars with you to the store, 5 for the fee and 250 to load onto it. Its much like buying a gift card, but you can use it anywhere. Be careful with the cards though, some of them have fees to obtain your balance or call customer service. Balance the card balance like a checkbook and you should be fine. They are convienient though, the card is ready to use upon activation, and it works just like a credit card. I hope that helps you.

Several ways, you can someone else with a credit card buy it for you and you pay them, one problem, if the airline asks for the credit card at check-in, you could get stuck. Make the reservation and purchase the ticket at the airport on the same day you make the reservation, or go through a travel agent, you might have to pay for a service fee, but sometimes it can save you a headache with the airline. Also, going through a travel agent can save you a headache with the airline, especially if you need to change the ticket and you get someone from India who has not been trained correctly. Travel agent, you can get someone who can help you faster and speaks your language.

I'm not familiar with the pre-paid cards the above answer mentioned, but unless they are through Visa, Mastercard or American Express I doubt if most airline websites will accept them, as the above cards and maybe Discover Cards are the only ones most airlines and airline websites accept. If you don't have a credit card you can always go to a travel agent who will accept a check or cash and if you live near an airport, airlines will always have a ticket counter where you can pay for tickets. Good luck.

Northwest and Southwest Airlines have launched a new payment channel which passengers can pay via paypal.

However, when you register with paypal, you would still ended up require a credit card number for instant account set up or just wait from them to mail you a letter to follow instructions.

When it comes to Northwest Airlines, I'm not sure if international tickets applies to this form of payment.

No. I have never heard of them asking for another way of paying. I could be wrong though.
