Floss first, then brush, then use mouth wash. Do this twice a day. Also, chewing gum during the day will keep your mouth minty fresh (or whatever flavor you choose). If this doesn't make your breath smell better, go talk with an orthodontist. Good luck!

There is a tooth paste and a rinse that you can get at the pharmacy (Walgreens definitely has it) called Closys II. It is a little expensive, but it really works. I used to work for a dental office, and my mother has been in the dental field my whole life. At first when this stuff came on the market, it was twice as expensive and only available at the office. Closys II is a unique compound made out of Chlorine Dioxide. It is more powerful than alcohol, and entirely safe in digestion. Some dental offices even disinfect their offices with the oral rinse. The only thing I have to warn you is that the tooth paste does not have a foaming agent in it, so it won't give you that foamy feeling. However, it will be working. Make sure to brush you teeth gums and tongue for at least a whole two minutes! Hope this helps you out.

Every 7-10 days your taste buds die. These taste buds may contain food. That's why you're supposed to brush your tongue. I suggest you rinse (not necessarily with Listerine) daily along with brushing. Sonic Care has a special attachment for brushing the tongue as well. If the problem continues, talk to your DDS and think about changing your diet. I almost forgot, there is also a prescription mouth wash I learned about in dent school. Don't use it if you DON'T need it.

Make sure you also brush on your tounge and the roof of your mouth. Listerine once a day should help too. And are you brushing just once a day? You should brush AT LEAST twice, if not three times a day.

You may have gum disease. Where the teeth and gums meet form pockets. When these pockets are more than a few mm deep, food gets trapped and release foul sulfur odors (breath of death).

You may also have sinus drainage, which causes bad breath. Be sure to brush the back of the tongue thoroughly.

Brush the roof of your mouth and make sure ur really brushing deep on ur tongue or even buy a scraper. It's pretty normal to gag because you went a little too far. If none works, try talking to your doctor about Halitosis or related diseases.

Make sure you brush your tongue. To get rid of bad breath without having a toothbrush on you, try Listerine pocket packs. They kill bad breath faster than you can say "OMG my bad breath is gone!".

You also need to floss... make sure you have no problems with your gums. Take some parsley pills.

Apart from the oral hygiene, take care of digestion too.

Chew gum, because it last forever. I would use winterfresh, it keeps your breath fresh.
