This is a pretty fast car and fairly unique. You're not going to run into too many of these on the streets.

But is it an ideal "first car" ... it depends on your situation I think. Are you a young student or have you been in the work force for a few years? Perhaps you are a young professional?

If you are a student, I would advise against this purchase. Insurance will be high, gas mileage will be low. It will be too fast for most situations and if you don't have a lot of self control, you'll end up street racing a lot (you'll win most of the races by the way) and lose your license very quickly.

If you are just starting out in the work force, I would also advice against this purchase. Too much car, too much money. Save your money and invest in an education instead or better yet, save up for a down payment on a house.

If you are a young professional and looking for some performance and impress your friends, girlfriend, and boss while at the same time have something that's fast and reliable, then I think this would be a good car to get into.
- this assumes you have a stable job
- have down payment on a condo
- getting ready for the next promotion at work

I think your very fortunate to have enough money to have such a new car for your first. That car with proper maintence should last all the way thru your higher education. Still running in 2016.

dont think so. i first car was 1989 Nissan 240SX. As a first car, it should be FUN, not the "i dont wanna park there, ppl gonna hit my car" feeling. Get a fun car!! trust me, you'll regret it if you dont.
