I'm going to be a Junior this year and like a year before I wanted to go to this performing arts school but thought it was to far but this year my sister is apparently going there (as a freshman). Now I CONSTANTLY rethink my decision because I SO wanted to go. We thought it was too late for me to apply this year but they said there was still a chance. BUT, I'm just used to my current school and...I don't know...I don't really feel the need to stay at that school because I really wanted to go to the performing arts, but I have a weird feeling like I want but don't really want to stay at my current school. Like I'm waiting for something to happen. Now I was really flip flopping on whether to go this year or not. I thought maybe I could always just go my senior year. You don't know I sad I get about this...I'm also trying to think how getting to know people situations would work out. I'm EXTREMELY SHY and have never really hung out with anyone (like other than family) my whole life.

I think you are only wanting to stay in your present school because it"s SAFE.... bite the bullet and enroll in the performing arts school!!!! I know you're shy... you WILL get over that at the new school!!!!!!!!!!! You will regret passing up this opportunity! Take a chance and GO FOR IT!

1. nothing ventured, nothing gained
2. better to try and fail, than not try at all and regret it
and so on..

I guess the point is this. People in the arts take risks. Some pay off, and some don't. You have to be willing to take that risk !! Would 90% of Hollywood be there if they hadn't taken a risk ? If you wait for something to happen, the only thing that will happen is wasted time and regret that you didn't take the leap. Go for it ! As for shy, no one has made a bigger fool of themself like Lindasy Lohan. DUI right after rehab... GO GO GO GO GO GO..

Whoa, slow down, take a deep beathe.

If you think the school is going to be the only platform that will launch your performing life, go for it.

However,

IF maintaining your relationships where you are at means anything, and,

IF studying what you can, where you are at, for the next 2 years wont be a total waste of your young life, and,

IF going to college after high school is something you should do anyway, to learn your art, and more about some other things that will make you a better person over all (hopefully)....

Well, I hope this helps.

If you have a passion for the performing arts and you have a chance to go to a performing arts school, GO to the performing arts school. Go quickly. You will have to push yourself to meet new people no matter what school you go to, but don't let this opportunity pass you by.

Alot of people are shy and no offense but alot people are kind of loners in my school...I go to a school of the arts...But once you find people in your same interests...you'll make friends...But switching up schools is really fun!!! I think you should re-think your decision and go with the arts school choice. follow your dream.....
