Historically, some already have been.
Murder and human sacrifice as religious acts did figure, for example in Thuggee, and led to outlawing.
The law versus religious freedom remains a live issue even in the most liberal of countries (such as legal cases involving Jehovah's witness and Christian Scientists over blood transfusions and medical treatment for children), while many authoritarian regimes have banned particular religions that were seen as wrong or threatening. Falun Gong in China, for example.
The trouble with those keen to ban things teds to be their blithe confidence in their worldview. This in the past has applied to the religious in power as well as sometimes now the militantly secular.
And the majority can be terribly wrong too, so even democracy has its limitations.
I therefore conclude that as few things should be banned as possible.
For those who say "none should be banned", would they care to pop round on Saturday? I'm sacrificing my first-born to Moloch, and putting on a barbecue.

Yeah, definately. But that is from my own belief system (Islam). Killing is horrible, and universally hated. I cant even imagine finding any cause to justify it. But anyways...
But from a legal standpoint, if a group is bringing harm upon a people, they should be stopped. Like as Americans, if there is someone who's freedom of speach is bringing harm/injustice upon someone else, than it can be stopped.
If a religion follows the laws of society, there is no real reason they should be banned. I'd like to believe that most of the laws that society dictates are for the better of man kind. So if a religion adheres to that, then there should be no problem with having that relgion around.

Yes ban all religions! They come between people and are not good for modern society. I think it would be possible if the government put it into legislation. It would be tough to enforce and extra prisions will need to be built to lock the religous people up who won't listen to the new laws!

Only those religious groups (as opposed from religion) which commit criminal activities. Other groups aren't really hurting anyone other than those who voluntarily show up. Even if people make bad decisions, it's their responsibility. Obviously the strangest cults, like scientology for instance, fulfill the needs of some. Otherwise, they wouldn't be drawing in members.

nope, you, as a human have the right to start a religion based around pornography if you want to. you can have whatever feelings that you want. you can say anything you want, and that is what makes america america. however if your religion requires you to do something illegal, you can get into legal trouble for that.

No, but Christianity would be the first to go if negative impact was the criteria. Jesus-God killed himself, drowned and slaughtered millions (more than Hitler), and commanded his followers to hurt and kill others throughout the Bible. Still, people should be allowed to worship God, even if he is more violent and immoral than any other being, and encourages stuff like the Crusades and Inquisition. People who criminally ACT on their beliefs should be prosecuted.
