Do you sometimes feel you need a break or some quiet time to "recharge"?

I go fishing at the lake we live by.

I ponder my life, my mistakes, and sometimes beat myself up emotionally over them.
I also think about what i can do to be a better husband and Dad.

I take time to be thankful for all that I have, down to the very bed I sleep on.

This helps me to "recharge" and then I come home and give my kids a big ole hug and tell em I love em.

There are few things in life that can recharge you like your family looking you square in the eyes and saying, " Dad, your awesome and I love you too."

Well, as a retired widow, I spend most of my time alone, so that's not having a break. I do a lot of answering questions on Answers, as you may notice, and lately I've been writing movie reviews in my 360 blogs of the movies in my DVD collection. So I'm watching movies. Then I always have at least one book going at a time; often two. I've started writing book review blogs, too.

When I need a break from all that, or get bored with all that, I do piecework. That's the part of quilting I like, so I just make quilt tops, and dream of someday sending them off to a professional to be made into quilts.

I recharge by meditation.

I usually spend moments alone in prayer, reading books (mostly poetry), and I recharge by going for walks, greeting neighbors, and then go for a drive if I need to think things through with visual affects.

Yes - and I happily take them. When I still had my office ( I let it go since I'm moving across country) I often would go sit in my big comfy chair and just read a book, or on a few occasions, take a nap. the time alone got me refreshed and ready to head back to work and the rest of the world.

Reading, meditating, doing yoga or getting on the treadmill and blaring a Columbo DVD.
Okay the Columbo part isn't quiet, but it helps me recharge.

I spend my moments alone by myself. I am never more alone when there is just me, myself I. The three of us have a very relaxing time. I may be alone but I will always have each other.
