Nobody is against immigration. They are against illegal immigration. Evidently, those in favor of illegal immigration lack the intelligence to understand the difference.
EDIT FOR BIGMCDOWEL GIRL:
You argued against your argument. Democrats in your opinion are pro labor. Assuming that is true across the board, that means they are in favor of the WORKER. Not in favor of decreased wages that benefit the corporations largely owned and run by REPUBLICANS. You cant even identify the issue, let alone offer a valid solution.

Because it brings more competition which could drive fellow Americans out of the productive jobs.
I agree that if spaceships come and they drive all these immigrants out of the country, American economy will go to a downward spiral. Forget about inflation and cheap labor, even the basic goods will become costly for fellow Americans. Everyone knows that the cost of goods is less when demand is more and vice versa.
Even bread will become dearer. Look to the nations which stopped influx. All basic amenities have become costlier.
Guys be realistic. Why not turn them into more saleable citizens so that they earn well for us and the Statue of Liberty.

Are you seriously this warped in your thinking? Or are you trying to make a point opposite to what you are saying? I don't really understand your question. It's like asking why aren't Christians for abortion because it would allow them to spend more money on the children they already have and aren't they about family anyway. It just doesn't make any sense.
Also, if I understand your final point, you are saying that you support illegal immigration because it allows us to exploit the illegal immigrants for our own benifit. Is that really the point you want to make? You sound like an opportunistic, cold-hearted individual. But maybe you are being tongue-in-cheek. I really don't get your message. Can you explain it a little more?

The key word there is ILLEGAL! They are in this country unlawfully and demanding rights that belong to native born Americans of those that have immigrated legally and assimilated to gain citizenship. It's not so much about cheap labor. The mexicans have cut their own throat with their protests for rights. The American people have written,e-mailed and faxed their representatives to stop the bill from being passed. Don't blame one political party.....It's the people that put a stop to it.

Cheap labor allows these companies to profit billions a year when they should pay legal immagrants or citizens a livable wage and provide benefits to these workers. That would solve alot of problems in America. More people would be able to get insured. Higher wages, lower taxes.

to re-iterate the above point, they are illegal, which means that the monies they receive are with fake IDs so the Government gets no taxes back from them. while it recopues some from they paycheck to paycheck, they use 3 times as much in welfare, public education (which most rent so they do not pay property taxes), medical care, etc.
Most have no problem with legal immigrants becuase they must contribute. While I agree there are some changes that need to be made to really tighten the leaks on the systems in place a legal immigrant is much better than the illegal ones.

Because they cost the Government money in the long run with Free Health Care, Education and Welfare Benefits. Not to mention since they are not legal they cannot serve in our Armed Forces during emergency purposes. Most are payed under the table, so the Government gets no taxes to help pay for what they take. Also the USA would rather give money to their own citizens, even if it costs a little more than to some illegal immigrant who leeches off the system for free.

You answered your own question! Democrats are for labor.
They want the illegals here. So do some Republicans, they want the votes.
Most regular US citizens are NOT against immigration, just ILLEGAL immigration, I suggest you learn the difference between the two.

Do you really think that cheap labor will remain once they are legalized and join unions?
Republicans aren't against immigrants, we desire them to follow our laws, as they expect us to if we visit their countries.
By bringing them in for the sole purpose of "cheap labor," are you not just building another slave class working for less than minimum wage and often in sub-standard conditions?
Is it really fair to treat a group of people substandard just to keep prices cheaper? Besides, cheap labor can also be accomplished by using non-violent prisoners, students in the summer or even those drawing unemployment (only part time, of course, so they may continue seeking gainful employment).
