I don't have any at the moment - but they are lovely and want to get some Dumbos in the future!
When I got my first rat I had a house meeting about the matter - as I was sharing a house with two chaps at the time. One was very hesitant and shared the typical views that they are dirty and disease infested. They gave me the go ahead as long as I kept my rat away from anyone or anything outside of my room.
One month later she was very much part of the family. She had free supervised roam of the house and would often visit the guys I lived with. She spent evenings sitting on the sofa with us listening to the tv and pinching whatever I was eating for dinner at the time.
Flick changed everyone's mind about rats. Every time she went to the vets all the staff cooed over her. She had a couple of over night stays due to surgery to remove a tumour and the nurses missed her when she left.
Rats are wonderful pets and generally great companions.
When Flick passed away I received many messages of condolence and lots of my friends still talk about her antics! She was a very social little ratty and instantly made friends with any one who turned up.

They're great little companions. I agree they're sorta like dogs, I call ours "monkey-dogs!" Each has a distinct personality & they're so smart, friendly & playful.
Two of our girls-- a hairless & a black hooded-- share a cage in our living-room & they get *so* excited when they know they're about to get treats-- they jump up & down like puppies. They don't compete, either-- each waits her turn. Our boys are just aspolite, most of the time.

I have one, her name is Kayla. She's my little princess. Cutest thing ever. She's very smart and sweet.
Here's some pictures of her

She very photogentic and loves getting her picture taken. When she see's the camera, she stays still and does the cutest things.
My boyfriend hated the idea of a rat, thought they were ugly. But within a week of having Kayla, he thought she was cute and now he's really likes her. She has a way of warming up the heart.

yeah, I have 39 and I love them to pieces. Mine are so spoiled it's rediculous. They really are like tiny dogs with their own personalities and habits. They can be trained and are SO affectionate it's almost unreal.
