Well, Americans also use welfare and some freeload too. The employers you are talking about are americans so maybe you should talk to your own people first because they seem to not be on the same team. Who is going to build the fence? You? I doubt it! Probably the same ones doing crappy work for cheap labor now, the illegals. What freebies? I pay taxes, pay for hospital etc. out of pocket, don't use welfare or food stamps, no free medical care, free public eduation in their language? Where the hell did you get that? I had to learn in English and now I know 3 languages which is more than some Americans can say. I may not do 3 languages perfectly but some Americans can't even do their own English language perfectly....actually this illegal immigrant had to tutor a lot of americans while going through school....which I had to pay for lunch and a lot of the white and black classmates did not. So I see no freebies here and just like some immigrants cheat, steal and kill as do some Americans. You say there is no room? Well then maybe EVERYONE should stop making babies. Not just hispanics and not just illegals. I am almost a citizen ...should be any day now probably am already....so there are some bad apples everywhere and you shouldn't just judge by all the bad actions. The best way to get them to go back home is stop hiring them to come and work for low wages, work your own dirty low waged jobs, pick your own fruit and say that you can and are willing too, get your own people to back you up, and seriously...it's not going to happen! There are to many and just don't hold your breathe. I do think adding Mexico as another state could be an idea....I got to give it to America they are more organized....maybe that would be the solution...that way they can take over make everything in Mexico like it is in the US and that way people will want to stay there. Why not build on that instead of thinking about things that I doubt will ever happen. They can't get 3 terrorists out of the country what makes you think they will get thousands of illegals out?

C. but fines won't work, the corporations would just pass the cost of their fines on to customers. Give them REAL prison time. Not Paris Hilton/cop jail but general population prison. Five years for EACH illegal hired. Make it mandatory and allow no early release. Jail everyone at the company involved from the CEO to the receptionist in the HR department. It wouldn't take three months and there wouldn't be an illegal able to find work. Pay a $500 reward for information leading to conviction. Arrest and jail the old lady down the street who gets her lawn mowed for $2. NEXT expand the law to all services including schools, hospitals, clinics, banks, lending institutions and everything else. I also suggest that a toll booth be set up on our southern border and charge illegals $1000 for the privilege of LEAVING the USA!
We wouldn't NEED no stinking fence!

Well the Border Patrol does a decent job when they aren't being arrested. Hiring more will not only give people more jobs, such as Bush is proposing, but would also help the security. The big thing, like any Law Enforcement is all the red tape that they face, and the chances that they will be severely punished for their own judgment.
A fence would be costly, and who is to say a simple fence will stop people from going over, or under the fence? They've already had tunnels found miles under the surface of the border showing up in California warehouse buildings.
I say that we have a major announcement to the Government of Mexico, and signs posted generously stating the consequences of crossing illegally, such as being shot.

I don't think that's what the Adm has in mind. The North American Union is plugging was with C Rice and Chertov in the SPP. I guess since the media is not reporting this loss of sovereignty the public has been disregarded in this unConstitutional change. Congress needs to review their duties and keep a close check on breeching the tenents of this country.

The most effective way would be C, but they should all be applied at once. I'm not sure about the fence. I don't have a problem with there being a fence, but it hasn't worked to keep illegals from entering Spain. They build crude ladders. The Spanish have hundreds of thousands of the ladders that they've found. They didn't find all the people who climbed those ladders.

A would be unconstitutional.
B would probably be challenged on humanitarian grounds, and even if you did take them away, the immigrants would just become a bigger burden.
C is very difficult to enforce and would hurt the economy by eliminating cheap labor, thereby encouraging companies to outsource to foreign countries.
D is too expensive and proven to be ineffective.
So good luck.

All of the above.
The "Anchor baby" law will be the hardest though
It is a constitutional amendment "14th" that if I remember right that was part of the Dred Scott decision to help slaves become citizens. If born on American soil they were citizens.
Those are difficult to change, especially with all the partisan polotics in Washington these days.

C would be a good start. Another way to say the same thing is to say "Enforce the laws already on the books". It is illegal to hire an illegal (i.e., undocumented).
