Humble-ness (Humility) is thinking and saying the truth about yourself. That's why it takes so long for most people to develop humility, because sometimes it takes a whole lifetime for a person to really know themselves.

Examples:
If you are good at sports, but do not admit it, you are not being humble (you are prideful because you are fishing for compliments). If you can play the piano well and you admit that fact, you are being humble because you are speaking the truth about yourself. ..

You are humble when you are not boastful;
if you do something good and don't need credit for it;
if you are given credit for something and turn around and give credit to someone else (like maybe where the idea of doing it came from, or someone else helped).

Also, you are humble when you admit that you don't know the answer (or how to do something) and ask for help.
