My goal is to get to 9% body fat and maintain that level. I used a hand-held body fat measurer ... i think its called bioelectrical impedance analysis. I am not really sure. It came out 10.1% but I am not sure how accurate that is. What body fat do I look like? I have a little bit of a butt but I have strong musclar legs.

i dont think that it is wright.
ask at the gym or to your doctor or dietitian to measure it - no machines will tell you it precisely - they are about 5% off, so if it says 10 it might be 5 or 15 and thats a huge difference.

Body fat is simply defined as the stuff that comprises your weight that isn't lean body mass. It's literally just long term stored energy that you body has held in it reserves in case it needs to metabolize it to either fuel a strenuous activity or simple acts like breathing or digesting food. So just think of body fat as extra fuel for your body in case it doesn't get it energy it needs from the foods you ate recently.
