I have a recipe that calls for 3/4 c. choc. chips. All I have are 1oz squares. How many squares would I need? Thanks!

Well, a cup is 8oz...so if you have 1oz squares, you need to have 6 of them to make 6oz, which is 3/4 cup.

3/4 cup equals 6 ounces so you will need 6 squares.

But the important question are the squares the same kind of chocolate called for in the recipe (ie: semi-sweet, milk, dark etc). I made the mistake once (used unsweetened instead of semi-sweet) when making chocolate ice cream. Did not taste right at all!
