Credit scoring is not that specific. If you have an 800 score and a lot of good accounts going over the limit for a month or two will not matter much.
In general utilization, ie your balance/credit line is important for scoring, so keep utilizations below 50-60%. If you are younger then get all your accounts paid off before applying for a car loan.
Other good ideas, limit inquiries, dont use every card each month, pay on time, never cosign with anyone.
