As a Christian I 100% rely on the Holy Spirit of promise. The anointing I received by the laying on of hands. Who is the Spirit of Truth & leads me into all truth. And is the teacher above my teachers. 1Jn2:27. The Holy Spirit anointing loves the Holy Bible & hates the book of mormon & hates the book of Islam. Messianic Jews believe in the Holy Spirit of the Holy Bible also. If you read Revelation to the 7 Churches, Jesus hates false doctrines who lead people away from Him.
There are other wannabe gods that are spirits out there. So? They are Gods identity thieves. They aren't the real thing.

The loaded gun? The problem with choosing yourself?
You like me and most all people on earth are as good as what we have acquired in our life as to knowledge. You make decisions on the information you have taken in all your life. In other words you have been indoctrinated.
If you agree to this then know too that these poor souls out there that profess a relationship with god have also have been indoctrinated. So whats up?
The instruction book?
This book is also a History book, it give facts and details that could not be in the knowledge of men?
If a man is reasonable he can find out many answers to questions ask and come to good knowledge of a creator.
For example 3,500 years ago men, the experts of the day considered the earth to be flat? Flat Earth Theory" .
How ever the Book said it was round? Isaiah 40:22
If you are satisfied with your life and have made up your mind that your way or self is the only way. then eat, drink, and be happy until you are no more.
The reason I bring this up is not to prove you anything, Only to say that a wise person will examine all things, and this kind of attitude could remove some of the untruths that get established as fact in our world. If you care to ask a question or two feel free to do so. gemhandy@gmail.com

That's a great question. In fact, the primary purpose for earth life is to develop an understanding of how to discern truth. Our Heavenly Father prepared this earth so we would be exposed to competing truths and people making both good and bad decisions. This encourages us to learn and grow instead of just trusting the person with the most power.
I've learned so far that you're less likely to be deceived if you use both your heart and your mind together. Also, if you bring your life into compliance with what you feel is right, you'll be led to greater and greater light. God teaches us step by step.
For more details on these concepts, consider viewing some of the short videos at the following web site:

Ultimately it's your choice. I'm not going to base you over the head and tell you what to believe. Instead, you have free will and can decide to do what you want.
As for having a personal relationship with G-d: First you actually have to want this. Not just persue it to prove it wrong. You actually have to want to have one. Like with human beings - if you aren't interested in the person you are talking to then you aren't going to have a personal relationship.
Second, when you have this relationship you know G-d. A lot of people mistake religion for faith. They follow what a religion perscribes but they really do not have faith in G-d. They follow what man lays down and believe that they are doing what they are supposed to, to go to heaven. Instead, knowing G-d is faith. That is were a personal relationship comes in. It is actually knowing G-d. Not just believing or following religion. That is the difference.
I don't hear voices by the way, or see angels or get firey messages from above.
It's your choice. As long as you chose not to pursue G-d, then you won't have a relationship with HIm. Perhaps one day when you find that you don't even have yourself anymore to rely on, that everything has failed you, then you will learn what it means to know G-d. And learn that G-d is always there, in dark and in light.
And doesn't need you belief to make Him real.

The way to obtain spiritual knowlege is through faith. You can't get it through observation of the natural world. It doesn't happen that way. Faith always precedes signs and miracles and reinforces the faith of the believer. You say that all these groups claim personal relationships with different gods. Sorry, there is one God, and different groups have different degrees of enlightenment concerning God. God waits for individual men to seek Him and that is done through prayer and faith. God reaches out to all men who sincerely seek Him and will offer a personal relationshiip to each one. When it comes down to it, it is not the religious affiliation you have but the personal relationship you have with God that is truly importan. All these groups have truth about God and supernatural things to some degree or another and people together as a group can strengthen each other's faith.

many may claim to have personal relationship with god and i agree with u that these people may or maynot be telling the truth
it is hard to say who or are they really telling the truth
the best thing to do here is not to spend time on those people, what ever they say etc
but to investigate the basis of their belief
lets take for example the bible, the alltime best seller
what is written in the bible is the most investigated writtings of them all
science, history, etc have proven that the things written in the bible are accurate and true
therefore my point is, if u have doubt about people's claims of personal encounters with god and if u are interested in finding out if this is true or not
then u better study not the person on a case to case basis but to study the very foundation of one's belief
if u do i would say u will have enough reason to believe in the bible

Basically, it's all through faith.. People come to know God in different ways, being a believer in Christ, I believe He is the only way to real life.. If God could be proven, then there would be no purpose for faith. Being in America where logic is everything, it is hard to believe in something you can't see, but i do recommend giving it a try, it has been worth it to me. When you learn to hear Him, it's awsome!! It's all through faith, there are times where supernatural activity will take place, and it is an awsome thing to see, but it doesn't happen to everyone everywhere, although it can! God loves showing us more of Him, but the first step is to get to know Him.. Relying on ourselves will lead to failure in the end... Relying on God is success... It's all through faith, if you really want to try it for yourself, take the first step to get to know Jesus. If you take the first step, He won't hesitate to draw closer to you, He WANTS to do that :) If its proof you are looking for, don't expect to get much.. Faith is the key. Before choosing your choice, get to know Jesus. I really do belive it will be worth it for you. :)

There is proof that Jessus Massiah exsisted, but reather or not you believe that he is the son of God is your choice. Watch the move "the exoscism of emily rose" which may shed some light on the danger of not believing in God. Look at your body, your hands, feet, brain. all of this couldnt have just sprung from a monkey! monkeys are furry and stupid and God created Monkeys as a different species from humans. You know we are telling the truth (christians) becouse God made you. This world is to comples wiht out a God and you know it.

I know The Invisible Sky Critter does NOT exist.
I know psychos reckon they have a personal relationship with an Imaginary Man.
Obviously they're just plain nuts or there's a mass hypnosis happening that I'm just too rational for.
The real question should be: Do I care that crazies believe they have a friend in the sky?
No.

I had two friends who saw the same truck. One said it was blue, they looked at it every day, up close and far away, always said it was blue, and that anyone else who said otherwise was wrong. The other said it was purple, saw it only a few times, from far away, started to doubt themselves. I looked at the truck, up close and far away, several times, and to me it looked blue, with a pearlized coating that looked purple when it caught the light. The truth is somewhere in between. But it's all subjective, my truth may not be your truth, and your truth may not be mine, but we can still say hello, goodbye, and good day just the same. May you never let yourself down.
