1. Spinnerbait's
2.Plastic Worms
3. Jig's
4. Rapala-type floating/diving minnow's(hard plastic's)
These are your "basic" 4 lures.
It's important to have "some" of these basic 4 when seriously fishing for Bass, Snakes, 'Eye's, Etc.
Everyone has their fav. My fav may not work where you are. But, here is a list of what you will usually find in my tackle box:
1. Various types/styles of Berkley "Gulp" & "Power Worm" product's (curly-tailed grubs, worms, trailer's, Etc.)
2. Various Rapala/Yozuri/Cotton Cordell/Rebel hard plastic lures.
3. Various spinnerbait's & In-line spinner's: Titanium T1, "Jig-spinner's", Strike King "Midnight Special's","Mini-King's", Etc.
4. Many, many variety's of Jig's in different weight's.
5. Topwater lures.
If I had to pick 1 item that I COULDN'T go fishing without, it would be the Berkley product's. "Gulp" product's are so "real" you can use them as dead "bait" if you had too! And I don't think I could live without my Jig's & "Jig-spinner's".
Hope this helps? Good luck on your new adventure into fishing!

if their are lily pads or any othe kind of matted weed around big bass and pike will retreat under them to cool off from the hot summer day so throw a YUM buzz frog and skitter it across them. The strike is explosive. One of the best thrills youll have fishing. If you have a weak heart dont try this presintation because youll probally have a heart attack when a big bass or pike attacks your lure. Its a adrenaline rush. If the fish short strikes the lure then try throwing a jig n' pig in the same spot where it hit.

ill tell you a few of the lures that ive added to my arsonal over the years that ive used that have worked for me. These lures work for predator species of fish.
Topwater...I use strike king triple buzz and terminator buzzbaits with a power grub trailer, Zara spook in a larger size
Stickbaits...I use Storms original thundersticks exculsivly, Great for lots of species (ive caught bass, pike, walleyes, muskies and a crappie or two on them) and better than rapalas for toothy fish like pike and muskies due to the body being plastic and not balsa wood (may want to add beefier hooks though for larger fish). Also you can twitch these lures on the surface like a topwater lure so its a great lure for mulitasking, presentation wise
Spinnerbaits...I use terminator spinnerbaits with berkley powergrub trailers.
These are just a few lures that have caught alot of fish for me. Add these lures to your arsonal and i bet you catch more fish. Good luck and let the big ones go!
