I don't actually think that is possible, some people just love to hate...or at least antagonize ((ahemcheeseandriceahem)). I would just hope that at least for the duration of this question, we could possibly put doctrinal differences aside and try to be nice :D :D :D. How about you choose (at least) 5 people and say something nice about them (that would be 5 people that you usually wouldn't want to say something nice about). Look at some of their other posts/questions and actually find something positive about them. I will write something nice about the first 5 people who respond to this.

Y'all know me by now, I'm cheesy, (not cheesy and rice though), what can I say. Oh and I also want to apologize for anyone who has been offended by my posts in the past, especially CM, I haven't been the nicest to her.

Now go.....

Ok, I will say something nice about the first five people who actually answer the challenge :)

Woohoo! Love Yahoo you are so funny, the questions you star and ask are either interesting or funny or both. I'll try to add you to myspace :)

Wyomugs: How could you not understand my question, Love Yahoo understood it and she had to translate it first. Saying something nice about 5 people should serve a purpose in itself, to promote BEING NICE; to learn to put religious differences aside to see the good in every person. Who said anything about making the world a better place, I just want to see if people can be nice to each other when challenged.

Cinthia: Welcome to YA R&S. As you might have been able to tell already, there are a lot of LDS/Mormons, ex-mormons (such as myself) and anti-mormons and we usually have something to say (not all of it very nice either). I'm just hoping that the people I see on here can show their good side, I know they all have it :)

Adan I knew I could count on you! You're always giving terrific answers, and I like that you tolerate my answers and are always so respectful of others.

You are very kind in your question here. I would just like to know why we can't all just agree to disagree and respect each other's beliefs and everyone quit trying to be an expert on things they know nothing about!

Yahoo Princess: AWESOME!!!
Bro G: Enjoy your answers
uAdan: young...but awesome spirit
mormon_4_jesus; you're good
Leisel: see e-mail i sent you for a more personal response

CM: Sorry about the 'temple terrorist' thing. It seemed much funnier at the time, something my ex-wife also brings up periodically.
Love_Yahoo_Wannabe_Princess: You're a sweetheart and a bright spot of innocence here.
Brian: Is kind of the Elder Statesman for mormonism on Yahoo.
Rynok: Also very well read and consistant. Presents additional material I need to brush up on.
Miranda: Obviously has a significant testimony that nothing I do or say will change.
Rev Kip: Also has a vast repertoire of biblical knowledge delivered with a certain amount of 'flair".

Do I have to confess something about myself - I mean beyond the obvious grouchy part?

This is one of the best questions I have seen on Yahoo Answers! Star for you... I really like the message it sends and I wish we could see more of this. :D

Alright, I'll give it a shot. Shout-outs to the non-LDS

........Cheese and Rice - I'm going to start off with C & R. I have to admit that he's actually a very funny guy. His sarcastic, dry sense of humor always makes things interesting. I had to give him a thumbs up for his answer to the "Most loved Mormon" question, ha
.....Norrispenguin - While he doesn't agree with LDS beliefs and he doesn't shy away from expressing that, the other day, in one of his questions, he emphasized that we shouldn't generalize against each other so much. I appreciate those thoughts because that kind of stuff happens a lot here on R & S
.........Liesel - (Sorry if I embarrass you with this one, ha.) Liesel seems very open-minded and understanding, and tolerant. Even though she is no longer LDS she does not judge those who are, and she treats us as individuals and not as a group of people. I have great respect for her, especially for her though-provoking questions like these
..........MrPeepers - I will say that this guy knows his stuff. He's very knowledgable. I don't always agree with him, but he is far from ignorant.
.........17mezzo17 - I guess she's technically still a member, but anyways....I don't know what happened to her, but I talked with her through emails a few times and as I got to know her, I really liked her! I hope things are going well for her and her parents now.

LDS:

.........LoveYahoo - One of the kindest people on R & S! She and I do have lots in common and she's nothing but polite to everyone.
..........Free2befearless - He isn't around as much anymore because he is getting ready to leave for his mission in August, but he's extremely knowledgable of our beliefs and he expresses himself in a classy, respectful way. He will be a great missionary.
..........Socmum - She has a good sense of humor, I've noticed. She doesn't get riled up at controversial questions and she is able to lighten the mood.
..........Karen - I've talked with her through emails a few times and she's very kind. We are close to the same age so I guess we can relate pretty well.
...........Kerry - He was my first contact, ha. He's a class act all the way and I don't think his questions or answers have ever bothered anyone. Nice guy.

Ok, now I think I get it. I will say five nice things about 5 users no matter if they are Mormon, anti-mormon, ex-mormons:

1. UAdan (current) - he's great and we have a lot on common.
2. Al Shaitan (ex and anti) - you seem to be a smart person and I don't have anything against you because of the things you have told me.
3. Cheese and Rice (ex and anti) - Hi Frank! he's funny sometimes.
4. Fotomama (current) - she is so sweet!
5. Liesel - I like that even thought you are not a church memeber anymore you don't bash us and you are not mean, you are a great person, by the way, I tried to invite you on MySpace but it was asking me for your email or last name.

Mr. peepers -- always fair in his serious answers
Cheese -- makes me laugh most of the time
Al -- I feel sympathy for your relationship to your family and hope that you all can reconcile and treat each other with respect even though you are different
KellyK -- Sincere in wanting to help Mormons
Liesel -- wise to post such a healing question

1. Beta_Fishy looks good black. I still miss his old "Leave-it-to-Beaver Smile" avatar though.

2. GeorgeWallace keeps his house decorated very nicely. I like his living room set-up (now you're probably wondering who I am and how you know me)

3. Mormon_4_Jesus has those cute yellow dimples when she smiles

4. Nijg smells a lot nicer than your average gorilla, and it isn't disgusting when he picks his nose (re: a previous question he answered)

5. Socmum16 has an AMAZING sense of humor and always uses creative interjections and names when referring to people she doesn't like.

I think that is possible, so here we go. I have talked on and off with Norrispenguin and he is a very nice guy and very loving. Mr Peepers can be nice and is knowledgeable. I am trying to think of more names and failing. I will edit when I am more awake.

I am new to Yahoo questions, so I don't know the players -- so I guess I will introduce myself?

I am LDS - convert. Was excommunicated (never anti), now reinstated. Being a good do be Molly Mormon (yeah right)

I always enjoy reading what everyone has to say, even if I don't necessarily agree with them or they don't agree with me. I try to be respectfully, which I'm sure I don't always come off that way. I also expect to be respected, but I know my answers are not always as respectful as they can be.

gw

I guess I just can't name only 5 people.

I will say something nice about Mr. Peepers, he does at times try to be fair. Some others are not nasty, but for the life of me, I can't remember names right now.
