my bf of almost 4 years sometimes tells me that he prefers to go out with a big group rather than just the two of us. We go out on a date every week, and we have our alone time every friday to get close and just be with each other. But I still don't see the reason why he would prefer to go out with a big group than just the two of us sometimes, like the beach. He is a very social person, and I am just the opposite. Does it have something to do with his personality? Or is something wrong with our relationship? To be honest, I don't think anything is terribly wrong, because I've known him for 6 years and this is not out of the blue. I'm just wondering if this is normal...thanks

It's normal. You have to maintain a social life outside of a relationship. It's very healthy to do so. It's not healthy to only have your partner. Too much reliance can easily cause problems.

Perfectly normal. As long as you are getting your alone time once a week... BE HAPPY! I stay at home all day when my boyfriend is working and I spend hours on end cleaning up after him... and his brother. When he comes home from work, I expect a "wow you sure did do a good job cleaning" instead.. I get a "hey can u run my shower?" and when he gets out he hangs out with his brother and friends until its time to go to bed..... everyday.

Be lucky you get once a week hehe

Normal - I love my wife but at least once a week / fortnight I have to do something with a group of people. Its healthy.

It's normal. Don't worry about it. Don't try to keep him on a short leash. The longer the leash - the better the relationship.

Yes it is normal. Don't be clingy or you will lose him. Give him his space. Don't be glued to his side. You two have different personalities. Maybe you should get a hobby.

It is not healthy. If you have your own day once a week, then it should just be for the two of you.

You answered your own question...

he's more into socializing than you are and enjoys being in a crowd.

He is a very social person, that's all.
