Anyone who says that illegals don't affect them, do not have America at his/her best interest. People who turn a blind eye to the bad impact of illegal immigration, either aren't old enough to pay taxes or have a family member that is illegal. It is selfish to demand that American citizens support people that don't belong here. No one should be forced to support a bunch of criminals. Charity is one thing, but to be forced to give to others when you are struggling your self is another. As for .mago stating that it's mostly white people against illegal immigration... Get your facts straight. I am a Black, middle-classed American citizen that is also fed up with this down-hill spiral our economy is in. I am totally against illegal immigration along with "most" other American citizens of "all" races. People seem to forget that this isn't an issue of race. It is an economic issue. I want all illegal aliens deported asap!!!

Okay. Honestly. Did you just come out of a nice cool cave for the first time in about 50 years?
Here's a way of seeing this in context.
Take monopoly money; all thousand dollar bills. Now count out 4,000,000,000 of them. Please stack them neatly (and don't turn on the fan.)
Okay, that represents $4 Trillion. So far so good?
That's how much money the U.S. government has extorted from US tax-payers since 1982, when 5 individuals, none of them elected (read: apathetic to the will of the people) cut the power to our democracy.
Plyler v. Doe is the WHOLE issue, here. That case turned the government against the people by granting birthright citizenship to children of illegal aliens. Nothing in the constitution granted it. No law ever did. Every elected congress was diligent in guarding against it.
The 14th amendment was worded to prevent [birthright citizenship to aliens] from ever happening.
All that effort for naught. America's Achilles heel finally gave way. The power-hungry court saw a chance to pound their chests like gorillas and took it.
Now the law we insisted on has been interpreted to mean exactly the opposite of what it clearly says.
If the issue were just about being here it might be less of a heated argument. But add all the perks these anti's (anti-law sorts) get that WE do NOT get and have NEVER gotten and you might see how insane it all is. No other nation on earth does this. None ever would.
But we, the citizens of the United States, are singled out in the world for hoping in vain that we might someday have at least what all other nations (especially Latin-American countries) consider basic and essential. Secure borders and enforcement of rational immigration laws.

I am an immigrant and I am a resident who is hours away from being a citizen. I believe in doing things the right way but I am also human and understand that it is harder for some people to do it than others. First it costs a lot of money, you have to learn answers and pass the test, you have to learn the language (the basics) and if your old it's even harder. When they say that it's not right that illegals come and use the hospitals and don't pay taxes....I am clueless because I don't understand...every illegal mexican that I know DOES pay TAXES and they DON'T have medical insurance even my family has to pay out of pocket and we like a lot of people wait for income taxes for a little money back. All this talk about gangs and riots well, there are gangs and riots that occur that have nothing to do with illegal mexicans some are white people riots some are black people riots...The thing is that Americans hire illigals because they too want to SAVE MONEY and Make more profit....they themselves go over the borders to get immigrants to come over and work for them. I think that there is no way building a border is going to help...who would build it? The illegal mexicans? The reason they are here is to make a better life for themselves and prosper and help build america...just like immigrants hundreds of years ago did and I am sure years from now this will be brought up again maybe we'll be against the Chinese then and talk about throwing them out. Illegal Immigrants take the jobs that no one else wants. First, American businesses should pay higher wages so other people would be willing to do those jobs...but what does it say when an illegal mexican is working for pennies? It says that they are HARD WORKING and WILLING to do dirty, sorry, jobs in order to support their families and themselves which is something that some Americans are not willing to do...how many back child support does America have because people who are here LEGALLY don't want to follow their own rules and do those dirty jobs. I agree illegals should do it right and we are trying here, we're working at it but it's not going to be fixed in 2 days. I think people have no idea why immigrants are here really. It's not only them the illegals but the legals and the Americans. I think they have to stay there is no way they are going to be able to throw all the illegals out. Why not just find a way to close the borders some how and I MEAN ALL not just the MEXICO borders and then help the people that are already here to become legal. Anyone else who is in Mexico who wants to come to the US to be citizens can apply and do all the paperwork from MEXICO. I don't know what is your opinion? I mean let's be realistic it's hard enough to get them to take care of other problems let alone tackle an issue like this....being throw out all the immigrants. By the way I am trying to raise money to fix the streets that I supposedly don't belong on yet and me the illegal mexican who doesn't pay taxes (supposedly) is trying to get the legal americans who do belong here to pitch in....wow! The whole disrespecting the American flag is horrible!! I am not for that at all!! I would place a Mexican flag and an American flag in my house because that's what I am Mexican American. You are right it was wrong but I did not do that and not all of us do it. I follow the rules and guidelines and came here the right way. I did not swim or run across the dessert...I can come and go as I please and others should do it that way too, the right way.

There is no reasoning on this site. Antis have their reasons for thinking they are right. I as a pro have my reasons and I think I am right. I am not trying to convince the antis they are wrong because I really do not care what they think or believe.
Most of the antis are white Americans who do not want the illegals here. I guess they are trying to make themselves feel better by coming up with reasons and excuses.

OMG! i am most definitely NOT ok w/them staying here. they come in and use American rights, earn American money, and don't have any interest in becoming American. They think that they are entitled to the benefits of an American but not be an American citizen- how much more ludicrous does it get?

It is worst a president lying to a whole country about WMD the didn't exist or worst yet, that exist but they lost the track of it, and sending young soldiers to a death trap without mercy.
I was illegal and paid taxes since I started working.
Most of the immigants pay taxes, and the goverment doesn't care where or how the money goes into the SSA and IRS, they only care the money goes in.

I am OK with them being here because I do not believe it effects me adversely. My taxes go to all sorts of stuff I don't use, public schools, welfare, stuff I don't support.. the war.. I could care less what language people around me speak.. they are not speaking to me, it doesn't bother me to press one for English.. takes like one second, if we were serious about not wanting them here we should have shut the border down 20 years ago.
oh.. and that criminal stuff.. it is a civil misdemeanor to cross the border without papers, most of my co workers and friends have those.. you know like speeding, not paying child support...driving in the HOV lane..running red lights...

Sorry it took me 25 minutes, I was on another question.
My main concern is that they have rallies disrespecting our flag and country, claim to have a right to take part of our country(by force if necessary) and yet people talk about the economical impact they are having.
Who cares what they do to the economy, good or bad, if they destroy our country?
