well my puppy (maltese yorkie) 2.1lbs found about piece of choclate bout the size of a hersheys kiss maybe a bit smaller well hes bouncing a round a usual and the vets not open and my parents wont take him will he be ok

The pup will probably be fine.
Think of it like this:
One ounce of DARK chocolate per 1 pound of dog is dangerous.
So, your doggie could eat up to 2 ounces of chocolate. That's about 4 Hershey Kisses.
Plus, Kisses are milk chocolate, much less dangerous than dark chocolate.
So, figure 5-6 Kisses will make your dog sick, BUT!!!
Such a little dog couldn't eat that much without vomiting.
Don't be surprised by diarrhea or vomiting though.

Watch for:
Hyper excitability
Hyper irritability
Increased heart rate
Restlessness
Increased urination
Muscle tremors
Vomiting
Milk chocolate will often cause diarrhea 12-24 hours after ingestion. This should be treated symptomatically (fluids, etc..) to prevent dehydration.
The truth is chocolate contains theobromine that is toxic to dogs in sufficient quantities. This is a xanthine compound in the same family of caffeine, and theophylline.

Ok, dogs and chocolate are deadly if the chocolate is proportionate to it's size according to your dog's wieght he won't die only be a little kinda wierd for some 30 minutes until the chocolate passes out of his system. Not to worry just give him lots of water to flush it out.

If ur dog isnt showing any symptoms of being sick, then he will b perfectly fine. a lot of the dogs that ive had in the past, and my dog i have now, have had a little bit of chocolate. they all turned out fine.
if he is showing symptoms of being sick, then take him to any vet u can find. if he's not, then dont worry.

Small pieces of Milk Chocolate seldom affects dogs. If he got the good dark chocolate you need to get him treatment.

i'm sure he'll be fine. he may get a bit of diarrhea but that's about it. if you see that he isn't himself or if he starts vomiting, take him to the vet but until then, just relax and watch out for the chocolate in the future.

hey it depends. probably not. he will probably just get sick and throw up. my dog which is a chihuahua 3 pounds ate 4 candy bars that were choclate and ate it ALL!! but he is fine. i was gone when it happend but i found evidence. lol im pretty sure your puppy will be fine.

Should not be a problem. I used to feed my dog chocolate,that was before I knew chocolate is not good for dog.

i have a maltese!! haha yes he should be fine. my dog gets into chocolate a lot ,cause she steals it, and she always turns up to be ok. she very much likes chocolate :)
