What a hoot -- "ran a simulation on a computer." Was his model ever published for public scrutiny? Here's a model which has had years of 100% accuracy:
10 PRINT "THE WORLD WILL NOT END"
20 GOTO 10
The most telling sentence in that article was the opening of the third-to-last paragraph: "No one really knows what will happen." Precisely!

It sounds alot like the Mayan calender with the same time periods and accelerated growth patterns.
Thanks for sharing, I've already studied the Mayan beliefs now I can compare it to the Chinese book of changes.
